In this topsy turvy era of transfer's and portal decisions , we have an honest and trustworthy young man who gave his word to BU and staff over 2 years ago and today will follow through and sign his papers to be an Illini.......this path of this person's road to becoming an Illini is so fresh and exciting.........I hope he becomes B$G FOTY and earns numerous accolades in his career as an Illini..............I really really do.......................

How much of this is the recruiters, and how much of it is Morez just wanting to stay in state?

From afar, I kind of thought he mainly wants to play for the Illini.

I don't follow recruiting in the detail many that knowledgeable Loyalty members do. However, it seems to me that this remarkably gifted young man is grounded and has a solid family. His steadfast commitment to the coaching staff and program bodes well. Can't wait to see him on the court for the Beloved.

I've been guilty of chuggin' the Kool Aid on more than one occasion. That said, I sincerely think that Jakstys has a chance to be an impact player. For a very tall kid, he has a pretty darn good skill set. Barring injury to our other bigs, he'll be well served by a redshirt year.

Watching him and Jase get Fletched is going to be fun. Love this class. Character and integrity.

If he's legitimately 6'11 he looks like he moves decently for his height. If he can shoot, add a bunch of weight and get more explosive i think he could be a decent big.

That's probably at least a redshirt year and second year riding the bench away though.

I think he could also end up being Brandon Lieb 2.0 though too.

Lieb was not close to him in skill set

Jakstys has far better coordination than a lot of kids his height. Obviously, no clue if he's gonna pan out for us, but he definitely has a chance (not a puncher's chance), IMO
