On where he wants to go: “I want to play for a coach that trusts his guards and lets them be the coach on the floor.”

On Illinois: “Coach (Brad) Underwood puts his guards in a lot of pick-and-rolls and he lets them play. He trusts his guards to make decisions and lets them be the coach on the floor.”

Is he telegraphing his decision already?
Seems to be very promising, especially since it echoes what he said he wants in the last paragraph. Hope we can close.

I may not be an insider but I’d say that’s pretty good

The Colony.....wasnt that D Williams ole stomping grounds????
I guess now i know why they’re pretty good. Ranked 20 in Texas 5A. A 12-2 record in the Dallas area is no joke.

Think BU likes veteran teams, can a freshmen PG outplay Lawhorn. Jase, Moretti. Sincere? Possibly other portal additions.

Was looking at the previous recruiting thread about starters for next year. It is assumed that Hawkins will leave but if he's not a 2nd round pick, and it's looking like he might not be, wouldn't returning be a very strong option for him? NIL money for him would be very competitive with his non-NBA options.
The NIL money he's getting this year might not be as strong next. We need at least a post & wing scorer from the portal, which won't come cheap, and he's proven to be more of a glue guy.
