Meh. Game has lost a lot of its cachet over the years anyway. Would you rather have Nimari Burnett or Coleman?
agree
it means very little - before the internet and the social media sites , maybe it did, but not anymore.

Exactly!

If we're being truly honest, the McD AA game hasn't been jack squat outside of nothing but completely political for several years now. I've been a watcher of the McD pics for several decades now. Some of the picks lately by the committee who decide these 2 teams have been nothing but totally laughable. Probably started to be silly about 15+ years ago.

It doesn't matter a hill of beans if Morez didn't make the squad. He's a dream recruit for the Illinois BB program who will do awesome things here. Not saying he'll leave this program as the "GOAT" or anything (perhaps he will). But he will most certainly have his fingerprints ALL OVER this program for however long he's here.

We could not have asked for a better kid to be a part of this program. We will be truly extactic when he gets here and we watch what he does on the basketball court.

So yeah....!!!! the burger boy teams!!!

Just think about where we were when Underwood took over and where we are now

Just need the March success, hopefully this year!

Where we were!? There is a place named in the Bible for that. And that word is NOT Heaven. And that also was NOT Illini basketball but some weird form of Twilight Zone universe somewhere between Shadow and Substance. And not at all fun. More Shadow than anything else and little Substance.

I’ll restate what I’ve said over the years. The first step was to get a quality coach who valued Illini ball and legacy for its truest (and most 'elite') state of condition and value worthy of Blue Blood status. This is a roundball State, period. And we love this game and the State’s big U to represent that.

Coach said from Day One how much we respected the history of Illinois basketball and he has endeavored since coming back to the Prairie State to restore that great history and standing and success. And we see the results and relish in them. And thank him for all of that... and all others who have contributed to the resurrection of Illini roundball.

Yes, our Dance success lately has eluded us. But Coach and all others are very much aware of that and how hungry we of the Illini faithful crave that success. It’s still a bit of a mystery why the Illini have been off their game as that time year. But strange things happen in Life and this apparently has been one of those things.

The Twilight Zone days are over. Order has been restored to Universe. And great things are happening again in the place where roundball lives and breathes like no other. No more Shadow... and lots of Substance lay ahead.

Watching a lot of video on Fears the last couple of days, that mid-range jumper and ability to get to his spots for it is (dare I say) very Devin-Booker-esqe.
