Looking at these 23-24 Boswell stats.....

Season 1 Nbc GIF by The Good Place

After December 1st, he shot 36% from the field.

It’s pretty well known that he had offers from Vanderbilt and Louisville. He absolutely had his choice.
Vanderbilt is not a good offer though. You would need to be a special coach to make that program competitive in the age of NIL and the portal.

Louisville and Michigan are both good offers with good resources and I don't think May is a bad coach just unproven and that I actually like Kelsey's track record more.

FAU was definitely not a good program but May has basically only built 1 team there and while talented I'd argue they were disappointing this season. Also, if they lose to Memphis last year in the first round as they nearly did he wouldn't be getting these offers.

Would be more worried if Michigan went after Muss, Darian Devries, or another more proven coach.

I watched him a few times and never really was that impressed.
I don't think he should be the highest priority and I think people are high on him because of the recruiting ranking and being a Champaign kid.

But to be completely fair to him. He was a sophomore reclass that really should have been in his freshman season this year and isn't even 19 yet. He also played for 26 mins and averaged nearly 10 ppg for a #2 seed while shooting 38% from 3.

There is a ton of room for the kid to grow and honestly he just shouldn't have reclassed. It feels like reclassing only works for the truly special talents.

I would say I’m getting tired of all these hired guns and new faces, it gets hard to root for new people all the time…

Buuuuuut, last team had 3 one-year rentals and I love them more than life so I guess we will just see how it works out

College basketball definitely is losing its charm. It’s the only sport that is free agency and new teams virtually every year. Football you don’t see it, and pro sports have multi year contracts.

Game is very Domask like….good around the rim, solid turn around and in the post, has good form don’t worry about his shooting numbers as much. 5 resounds and almost 3 assists per game doesn’t hurt either.

I can see the comparison for their games, question is whether Hill can be successful in Big Ten with his size in booty ball:

Hill: 6'3 185
Domask: 6'6 215
Pickett: 6'4 208

Benefit is he isn't going to be needed to do that 10+ times/game like MD and JP. Can he do it 3x or 4x per game at his size in B1G? Probably? Love that he averaged 6+ FTs/game.

I am sure the staff has made it clear we need shooters and if Rodgers is the favorite son - playing Rodgers and Harris at the same time will be tough. Not impossible but based on this year - the roster and everyone else understands the impacts of roster construction.
Not sure of the stats, but from what I remember Sincere was a somewhat serviceable 3 point shooter towards the end of his freshman year. Id hope with a whole year and a half of practice he would prove to be a decent scoring threat this coming year. If he stays.

I never said he didn't have choices. I said the window was closing on him being a hot, up and coming coach from a smaller school. This was the year for him to jump. He took the best offer, but I doubt he had the leverage to move Michigan's board regarding their academic policy.

If they didn't do it for a hero from the Fab Five, they won't have done it for May.

Yeah Hill and Domask are nothing alike. You can’t play booty ball at 6’3

If Michigan wasn’t going to adjust their academic reqs then he’d have taken the Louisville job. Goodman was certain he was taking Louisville before Michigan got in at the last minute.

If it's the tendon, which it certainly sounds like, you gotta rehab it so the healthy part of the tendon makes up for the damaged part. Resting just contributes to rest/weakness/flare spiral. The tendon can possibly heal up but it's hard. Can do PRP injection, shockwave treatment, or surgery. Elite athletes usually go surgical route because it is more predictable, but it depends on how bad it is. I really hope it can get better, I'd love to see his skillset at 100% healthy
name checks out

Jake is younger and has better hair. But yeah I def see him as a Goode replacement. Goode going thru Senior night makes me think he was go someplace else. Maybe even a blue blood that just wants a shooter like Grandison did with Duke

Isn’t Jake Davis a Luke clone? Same height, same skills, same role- that might tell us something
Few days ago I texted a friend that it looked like Davis would be Illini’s first transfer in. My friend said he doesn’t look a bball player. I said what do you mean, he’s the spitting image of Goode and he’s from Indiana so they might be cousins. So Davis will forever be Luke Goode’s cousin.
