I don’t think they’d go to another in conference school, especially that one, but who knows in today’s NIL world.

Dain is gonna be one hell of a portal get for someone.

He was the one Illini game-changer for defending the Paint. Yes, he literally changed games. Illini were vulnerable all season to opponents simply having their way in there. That was one glaring weakness of this past collection of guys that will no doubt be addressed by Illini powers in the coming months.

I would fully expect Ty to live in the gym this off season shooting a thousand jump shots a day. He may never be Alfonso Plummer, but if he can become serviceable it negates defenses sagging off. And we already know he can guard, rebound, and drive the ball.

If he didn't live in the gym working on his shot last summer, there is a real problem. And if he did, what makes us think another summer will fix it? Ben Simmons is a pretty relevant cautionary tale in waiting for a shot to appear through offseason work (though I have doubts Ben was working all that hard on it).

Chester Frazier was about as bad it gets and he was able to develop a decent shot. I see no reason Ty isn’t capable of something similar.

My wild speculation has AJ Dybantsa joining his classmate herein his new class now....Its not impossible because he does have an offer,no favorites< winning program with a huge national fanbase and we have inside help...Chew on that a bit...

I’m starting to worry that @Indy Illini Fan has hit the portal or worse… is an accountant during tax season.

Hopefully it’s just a self imposed ban to prevent letting good news out too soon.
