Can Michigan get him into school ???

If Caleb Love can't get in ... There is NO WAY they can get Davis in unless they make major exceptions from what I've been told ...
I thought Michigan had issues with upperclassmen that had not graduated? So Shannon and Love had 3 years of college and probably 1-2 semesters left until graduation. And we got Shannon in by admitting him as a junior with two years left which is why he was not a graduate last year.

Johnell Davis has been in college four years which would be similar to guys they haven’t had an issue with like Nkamhoua

I talked to a staff member today ... Do NOT be surprised if we over sign by 1 ... They are actively looking into a lot of guys and there's a lot to play out but over signing is on the table ...

And no ... No one would be creaned ... It would be by design ...
^ We have 3 open right now...I anticipate 4 or 5...And I think we bring in at least 5 more guys (4 at the very least)

I may have asked this before, but how do these transfers deal with working out and continuing to work in their game. Do they still get access to facilities? I’m assuming they are still going to class (assuming they went before). Seems like guys remain friends even after they transfer away…so I’m just curious. I’m assuming their new destination isn’t like “just don’t worry about if touching a ball until classes are over then we will see you then.”

Yup ... From what I've heard ... We will return 5 ... Bring in 5 or 6 portal guys ... And add the 3 freshman ...

6 portal guys and we would be over signed by 1 ... Which according to the staff meeting this morning ... Very much in play ...

What do you mean by design? What would happen in this scenario?

People asking for updates less than 24 hours after the last bit of info came out are like kids in the car asking "are we there yet". Ya'll need some therapy for that anxiety.

Or we've just gotten used to non-stop Illini basketball coverage thanks to a second weekend appearance and are trying to fill the void.

(Besides, I already have a therapist.)

According to my sources ... Davis has not graduated from FAU and is not on track to graduate ...

Which is why there will be admissions issues at Michigan unless Dusty can get them to make an exception ...

I heard somewhere that Davis was going to be a PWO with NIL covering the scholarship. Any truth to that?

Over sign to allow somebody currently enrolled to stay on scholarship to get a degree? continue working with Fletch/Sanders? Move to a football scholarship?

In the meantime, any update on AJ Storr while I try to hypothesize other scenarios to help make over-signing make sense to me.

Wow, really? Anywhere outside of Michigan seems surprising. May wouldn’t prioritize Alijah Martin over Johnell, would he?
The thing is as it turned out if FAU would have been in the Big they probably would have been middle of the pack. He's got to get better than what he had at FAU to come there and play if he wants to contend for a conference title.
