I believe a team can only have two walk-ons, so the entire roster is limited to 15.
I think technically the roster limit to 15 is the key - you're only limited to 2 walk-ons if you carry 13 scholarship players.

I mean just this past year we had 3 walk-ons (Redd, Williams, Kutcher) but we also only had 12 scholarship players.

I think it's 15 that can dress for games and travel with the team, but I don't know if that's a formal cap for being on the team per se.

And non-scholarship players can't eat at the training table and there are other restrictions.

I'll believe we've got a scholarship-caliber player willing to walk on when I see it, NIL money or not.

I talked to a staff member today ... Do NOT be surprised if we over sign by 1 ... They are actively looking into a lot of guys and there's a lot to play out but over signing is on the table ...

And no ... No one would be creaned ... It would be by design ...
So your saving Luke would become PWO and Gies is paying his tuition

Wow the recruiting thread is wilder than the Cliffmas days. Lots of people apparently in line at the hot dog stand.

No academic scholarships like this are allowed, I believe. Can't remember how Ivy League gets around it. I think it might be that once on an athletic scholarship you can't switch to academics.

However, a highly paid internship would certainly work.
