My understanding of the hardship waiver is that the 33% rule includes potential postseason games even if you don't advance.

Add 6 potential NCAA tournament games and two more potential conference tournament games and he is well under the 33% without including covid cancelled games.

For example if two guys both played the same amount of games before injuries ending their season it wouldn't be fair to reject one guys and approve the other because a tournament run put one of them over the threshold.

I'll believe it when I see it. They'd play similar roles for one, and they both strive me alphas.

I understand that sentiment. If I had any excess wealth, I would dump a wheelbarrow full of it on Coleman and Marcus.

If Marcus comes back, it would be interesting to see how much more NIL he goes for.

He certainly earned it.
He deserves more than anyone. He was 1st team all B10 and will keep us in the top 4 in the B10 with not many adds. I love Coleman and would love him back but Domask deserves as much as Coleman or more in a perfect world.

So three small problems here.

1. Only two games were canceled. Southern Miss and Nicholls State (while Domask was healthy, incidentally). Two other conference games got postponed and played later on.

2. The threshold for a medical redshirt is 30%, so even if five games had been canceled, he's still at 32%

3. Regardless, the NCAA has been clear in other cases that it's not giving eligibility back for the Covid season

This waiver is getting denied, guys. I don't doubt that there are people around the program with optimism. They're wrong.
