Can we go back to guessing which players in the final 4 are hitting the portal?

Imagine a front court of Coleman Hawkins and Grant Nelson. (Highly unlikely, I know)
I've got a B1G feeling the news will boil over soon enough, no tall tales. đźš‚

So three small problems here.

1. Only two games were canceled. Southern Miss and Nicholls State (while Domask was healthy, incidentally). Two other conference games got postponed and played later on.

2. The threshold for a medical redshirt is 30%, so even if five games had been canceled, he's still at 32%

3. Regardless, the NCAA has been clear in other cases that it's not giving eligibility back for the Covid season

This waiver is getting denied, guys. I don't doubt that there are people around the program with optimism. They're wrong.
As far as NCAA appeals go, I agree with you. Don't think there's a chance in hell of it happening. However, if he retained legal counsel to challenge the ruling in court, I actually think he'll have a very strong case and there is certainly reason for optimism there. The reason for that is I think you're looking too narrowly at just covid year based exceptions being granted or not, whereas Marcus' legal would more likely challenge the NCAA's inconsistent rulings on injury based redshirts. And considering the potential money and opportunity at stake, and how the courts have basically ruled against the NCAA on everything they've done inconsistently, I think a favorable ruling on an injunction might be a lot more likely than not at this point.

And by the way, I did say this in previous threads regarding this, but the 4yr NCAA eligibility rule I feel is extremely ripe for being challenged in court as I don’t think the NCAA can defend themselves with a straight face saying they've consistently held that rule. I had it going down as early as the next year or two at which point all hell will break loose. This might be the case that starts this avalanche.

And while I would love beyond words seeing Marcus suit up again for us next year, I do feel that once the college eligibility requirement gets struck down, it will all but destroy college basketball basically turning it into the G league. Just my 2 cents...

This would indicate otherwise:

And of course even if it were true, those would be games Domask would have been healthy for, contra the JeffJ tweet.

And even if there were 5 cancellations, it's still not enough to make 10 games less than 30% of the original schedule. There would need to be 8 cancellations.
what is Domask had covid during that time as well.

Did you hear Hawkins talking about Sencire on the scout team? He said, "You're out there trying to get warmed up, and Sencire is making you look like a fool." Can you imagine facing him when you aren't giving 100%? Can you imagine facing him when you are?

Imagine a game where Coach is subbing for offense and defense. Other team is trying to score fast, but Harris and Ty are on defense.

We are going to miss him.

Best of luck to Sencire, but as others have said, he wasn't/isn't the caliber player that would have made an impact on this team. Hard worker, but very limited. Let's not make it seem like we just lost an All B1G player here

I can recommend a good dentist to see about that cavitation problem.
You've clearly not graduated from the US NAVY's Fleet SONAR school like I did many many moons ago, used to be in Key West Fl along side the SOSUS school. LOL

The dude was able to electrify the SFC (and T-Mobile FWIW) with defensive effort alone. The dude was impactful. I've said before, I trust Brad. But Sencire had a positive impact on the program without eye popping stats. You do in fact need those guys too.
