For those who want R. Avila watch the MSU game. My impression was significant defensive liability and likely not as tall as stated. Malik Hall and others were able to take it to him or blow past him. I prefer a true center (Goldin) who can be a rebounder, blocker, defender.

I like Maddox WAY more, not even close to me as players, but if it’s the the difference in getting Storr I’d settle for Hill.
This is good to hear. Far superior player.
To give Hill his due, if I were a MAC team looking for a centerpiece star, I think Hill might be the better bet, just because of his prowess as a scorer at that level.

But Maddox's floor spacing, passing, defense, ability to provide some coverage at the PG, 106 games of D1 experience (with three conference titles at two different schools), son of a prominent Chicagoland HS coach, he just much more strongly gives the impression that he would translate well to the high-major level and be a multifaceted contributor and a winning culture guy in a team with other major pieces. He has Domask vibes that way.

Maddox is not a better player than Storr, to be very clear. But I think I'm more worried about losing him than I am about losing Storr. Lock him down now if you can, I cannot conceive of a scenario in which that ends up being the wrong roster construction decision in this portal season.

They want to slow things down a bit ... See who else enters the portal ...
Getting cold feet on Storr is even more reason to grab Maddox now.

I think the staff will want a pure PG transfer this go-round, which probably eliminates Moretti.

Yeah he’s really fun and a great offensive talent but he’s absolutely like one of the worst defensive players in the country lol

imo that transfer big would need to be more than just a quasi-starter/solid minutes guy for us to have a similar ceiling/season as this year. I think you'd need a 2nd high profile guy there.

It was Coleman responding to a tweet that said something like: "Attention: Coaches are finding out that college players care more about money than basketball"

And Coleman's response was something like "shoutout to their handlers :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:"

edit: It's probably over my head but it seemed pretty benign to me
