Unless you are a top 20 level player like Morez, or a project that doesn’t expect to play, I don’t see many regular freshmen committing to Underwood anymore given his use of the portal. It is what it is and we will see if this type of roster turnover each year can be successful. Getting 2 years out of Shannon may be the big outlier on this strategy as it’s rare to get guys of his level and 2 years as well

Lose Butler and keep Senicre? No good.. one can score, one cannot.. don’t care how good of a defender Sencire is.

Agreed 100%, I'd love to have Sencire, but is anyone else worried that if he does stay, it might point to a chance that Ty ends up leaving? And while I've said I don't think Ty should start, I DO NOT want him to leave. That would be a bummer. I'm sure I'm wrong, though. Definitely wrong.

Chuck Nuggets

Dip your nuggets in my staff source sauce.
Aside from baseless rumors about why he is no longer committed, what do you know about this kid? Go ahead and talk trash about a high school kid you don't know. If biting your tongue about something you have zero knowledge about, relating to the character of a kid, is "walking on eggshells" to you, that says quite a bit. If calling this kid you don't know "soft" is "grounded criticism," that says everything.

I agree. Be open-minded, don't be harsh, but criticism is often warranted. Unless the goal is to be the Cheerleading section, I think discussion of differing points of (respectful) view is desirable. Interesting. And actually rewarding. I know I learn things here nearly every time I check in. And people here have changed my mind many times.

Working to find out more, would be surprising if true but would very much welcome Sencire back. If he's coming back, I would expect Nico or someone else at the very least to be out
After seeing @aaeismacgychel’s comparison of Harmon’s numbers to Sencire’s, I’d love to have him back in the 6th man role.

Having a guy who plays with that much intensity on defense ratchets up the intensity of everyone else on the floor.

The usual suspects doing the character assassination thing on Jase Butler. Never fails.

Everyone who leaves the program is obviously a terrible person.
Well you can't leave if you never got here. If he was as has been unmentioned demanding playing time before ever walking on the court, I say good bye and good luck

If Harris is our 6th man he either improved his game a lot or the insiders were wrong and we didn’t get great talent coming in

If Luke comes back he probably will be the first off the bench. That assumes we fill out our starting rotation. I could see Harris getting 10 minutes next year unless he developed a consistent shot

I think Harris in 2 years could develop into a good college basketball player on both sides of the ball

He should've, could've been the 6th man this last season. Dude is all-B1G defense, would be thrilled if he came back.

And I have absolutely zero issue with Butler leaving, think it's a smart move on his part. Go to a lower conf for playing time and move up after 1-2 years (if he wants), or sit on the bench here. With the constant recruiting of portal guys, development is not really an enticement high-major teams can offer anymore.

This is spot on! Harmon did hit some wide-open three pointers and scored on an occasional drive during the season. He did hustle on defense, but to me, he wasn't that aggressive on the offensive end. Yes, I am aware we didn't need his offense and he was a role player, but more production would've been appreciated.

Sencire with his defense alone will create more offensive opportunities for him and his teammates. He will drive more aggressively to the basket and dish off if he has to. His three-point shot will be better as well.

I could see him going on an individual run, scoring seven straight points to pull away from an a surging Ohio State team, putting the game away. That's what I see in Sencire. Now, let's do this!!!!
