The stat for Kent that made me look twice was 2 point shooting % - 74.5% is just crazy, and the best in the nation.

He's good. Avila got all the headlines, but I thought Conwell was the best player on the team. Certainly would be the best fit at the high major level. Elite ELITE shooter. Can shoot it off the catch and off the dribble. He was 41% from 3 on nearly 7 attempts per game. For comparison, Goode was our highest percentage 3 point shooter this season at 39% at a little over 4 attempts per game.

Imagine being able to go back to 2003 and have Alando Tucker and Andre Iguodala transfer to Illinois.

Not to be too overly optimistic in player comparisons, just an observation of how great it is to be able to "fix" those player-who-got-away situations.

I’d make him #1 priority even over Storr

Getting four starting-worthy players in the portal is great and all, but starting four new guys you went out and bought, starring Storr who is the Mr. Out For The Bag story of the offseason....there are going to be narratives, I'm just saying.

So he's going. Not good for the 2025 Illini, but good for him and good cosmically. It would have been a shame if his best professional opportunity got taken from him due to injury. It's always been clear the draft was his desire.
