Also if there is ever a year to not have a traditional big it’s next year in the big ten. Who’s the big guy?

No monster in the league like we’ve had recently. No Edey, No Kofi, No Garza, No TJD. Michigan State is playing Booker at the 5 he’s thin, OSU is playing Okpara at the 5 he’s thin, right now Minnesota is playing Garcia at the 5 and he’s a PF. Maybe we don’t need to add a true big. There is a reason we let Dainja walk.

Paducah, Ky
It’s not as difficult to explain compared to many of the Pruman posts. 😂

Or maybe just maybe the staff loves what they have in Morez/Amani at the 4/5. Youth at that position is dangerous, yes-but those two and Booth give you 2 guys (Rez and Booth) with legit NBA talent and a third (Amani) who is going to be a damn good college player.

People need to take a step back, breathe, and let the offseason play out. Let’s not act like this is going to be the crown jewel of our portal adds. The next 4 will dwarf the 2 adds we’ve had to date.
But how do we pass the time until it plays out without wild speculation and over reaction?

Shrews isn't the best coach ever. We only think that because our guys couldn't figure out how to beat him. Most of the other teams have no problem beating him.

Hope we try for an actual 5 Garrison, Wolf etc
Yeah I was hoping that too, but it seems less likely now with this addition. Carey Booth seems like a Coleman archetype, so if he is the only other big added, we’ll have to make it work with him and Rez and Amani. But maybe I’m not giving those guys enough credit to handle that. I do like Amani and Booth as bigs that can shoot. That could be very nice.

That guy you trust so much? He has recruited some terrific guys, a bunch of them in fact. He has ALSO made a whole lot of miss-calls. Trust NO one.

To your point then maybe that's the perfect time to get a a traditional big...zig when they zag. I'm sure staff is looking at a few options

I don't think that the concern is Tre White. It's the prognostication that we're going to have 3 to 4 studs transferring in. A couple of the names are of the elite variety. If those guys committed first, this would be viewed as a nice addition. Without any headliners....this is looking desperate.
