I said that to my buddy today. I love that Davis/White and then everyone else we seem to be targeting are not one-and-done/grad transfers like this year's crew (Domask, Q, Harmon). Lets the team gel a lot over the course of two seasons which will pay dividends down the road for sure.

Oh I get that. I think that was a misstep that we’ve learned from. I think it was more prioritizing stars of Skyy rather than doubting Podz.

I mean I’m the guy that compared Podz to Ayo and took some grief for it. If I can get over them letting him get away, anyone should be able to. :)

top 15-20 for sure. Could be top 10 if you get a couple of jumps from high upside transfers and freshman

Have you seen Boswell in person ?? That dude is not small ... And he hasn't even worked with Fletch and Sanderson yet ...

Maddox is a freak of nature athletically ...

I'm not too worried about short guards when they are EDGs ... Trent was short ... Feliz was short ... Worked out pretty, pretty good ...

No. You cannot say something like "dishonest take" to the OP and then use "evidence" that is only substantiated by some social media posts of the fanbase of the dumpster fire program he is leaving. That is like me asking Philip Morris to give me their opinion on cigarettes causing lung cancer.

Furthermore, no one should hold it against any young man transferring out of the Louisville program. These guys took a chance on Payne and it did NOT work out for them. EVERYONE (except maybe one person) is leaving that program.

I am going to sound like a broken record here, but I think BU and staff has earned our trust on eyeing talent and putting together a team. I also understand this is a message board and everyone is allowed to voice different opinions, but that doesn't mean there aren't stupid opinions (like the earth is flat, English should be spoken in every country, or that Showgirls was not an Oscar-worthy film). We will never agree on the perfect roster for the Beloved, but we can, at least, give BU and staff a little credit.

"White was a late transfer last season who surprisingly decided to leave USC after an impressive freshman season in which his modest production (nine points and five rebounds per game) belied his remarkable defensive versatility across multiple positions. At Louisville, White did basically the same thing on offense while strangely providing none of the defense that made him such an effective player at USC. I’m genuinely not sure what happened. His effort level wasn’t there regularly, particularly in transition defense. Maybe he was just a poor fit with Kenny Payne’s coaching style. But he needs to get back to the level he previously showed.

Offensively, White is largely a slasher and cutter who struggles to shoot the ball — though he actually made 36 percent of his spot-up 3s, per Synergy. He doesn’t have a monster first step, but he has long strides and a big, physical frame that defenders bounce off. He’ll typically try to shoot if his drive is aborted, but he only made 39 percent of his pull-up midrange shots this year, which isn’t good enough. Unless White can drastically improve as a shooter, he’s not a good enough offensive player to give the kind of defensive effort he gave this season.

Maybe a new coach will serve as a wake-up call. White is certainly talented enough to be a high-major starter for the next two years. But he won’t be one if the defense doesn’t return."

Maybe playing with a selfish, me first point guard with a 1 to 1 assist to turnover rating had something to do with it. We all saw how he poisoned the team chemistry when he was here.

I highly doubt the coaches put a certain height or whatever it is OVER talent when it comes to deciding who to take. Talent wins. Chemistry helps a whole lot, too. Seems like we got talent coming, and we'll have to see if our talent plus our built in culture leads to team chemistry and wins.
