And he lost Podz, lost Clark and was stuck with Epps running PG because of it. Not saying that you're wrong, but the way he treated TGL and his verbiage about it on top of past experiences....I don't see him making any promises. Again, could be wrong.

Insiders: is Brad going about the portal recruiting differently than last year? On the surface, it seems the staff is being more assertive early on, trying to lock up players and not let the process stretch out too long. Or is this just standard operating procedure like any other year?

The Eric Bossi crytal ball on 247 yesterday was more legit than this - and was probably the source for that tweet (or maybe that account reads this board ha!)
Yes - anyone reading this board could post that same thing. It's looking good for us and Boswell - welcome home son!

source is not, but what they are saying is

I will eat my hat if Boswell isn't publicly committed by Monday.

If it has to happen...may it be filled with guacamole!

We lost out on a B10 title due to missing a veteran PG down the stretch of 4 close games. I don't know how you don't talk about that.
I mean, we also lost the title to the second-best team in the nation with the Player of the Year. We still finished second, outright. Still won the B1G tourney. Still made the elite 8. Still finished 6th overall. Oh, and the third most wins in school history. You seem like a glass-half-empty kind of person.

I can't imagine him allowing this year to play out like last year did when it comes to locking down a player. That RayJ situation played out until June and he got caught scrambling when it went sideways. Guessing it's a live and learn situation.

Maybe a really good veteran PG helps us to the B1G regular season title. Maybe. Probably beat Maryland and Pedo St...maybe Mich St.

But I don't see how we...anyone...get's past that UConn wagon. If Purdue couldn't do it with that generational giant, not sure anyone could.

--I think the only game we lost due to lack of veteran PG was @ Penn State.
--In general Marcus did an admirable job bringing the ball up and distributing. He did a fantastic job against the Iowa State double team.
--The two losses vs Purdue happened because unlike UCONN we did not have 7'2" 260 lb center to force Edey 10 feet away from the hoop. No other team in
NCAA had one.
--The OT loss at NW anybody making one more good play would have turned it into a win.

I like this a lot! Brad is killing it in the transfer portal.

We may not have bested UConn in the end, however if we beat those first two teams you mentioned, we're probably a high 2 seed. That may put us in a different region with the opportunity for Final Four and a National Championship against UConn, which I would've been all for!

I still remain a bit skeptical of Boswell, but am more then happy (and expect to be) proven wrong. I just don't see anything that really pops with him. Decent defender, shooter and ball handler, but I don't see elite athleticism, first step or explosion.

I will really watch the shooting if he gets here though, because if he shoots well he'll be a huge asset regardless and he'll only be a Sophmore so undoubtedly there is room to grow.

Jake Davis is the one people will undervalue. That kid can shooooot it. And its not set shots like Goode, he can get it off when and wherever.

I'm aiming higher then Booth if its me, but the staff has been so good at eyeing talent that I think you have to trust their evaluation. I would love more size just as an option. Morez will be a 6'9 Freshman and Amani is only 6'8. Getting a kid in here who is 6'10+ at 230 + who can defend the rim and rebound, just to mix in would help a ton with defending bigger teams.
