He looks so young for it being such a short time ago

I love all the transfers but there was something about watching a kid like Trent Frazier or Coleman grow as a player and a man in our program and bleed orange and blue! Hope Ty, Luke snd Sencire are 4 year guys!
Agree. But I do like that we circle back on portal guys we previously recruited. It gives me the sense they'll be Illini eventually, and their first year or two (or more) were simply wayward years before they finally wised up and came home. Also that they're fully scouted with BU having a clear vision and fit for them, even if few others can see it.

I still remain a bit skeptical of Boswell, but am more then happy (and expect to be) proven wrong. I just don't see anything that really pops with him. Decent defender, shooter and ball handler, but I don't see elite athleticism, first step or explosion.

I will really watch the shooting if he gets here though, because if he shoots well he'll be a huge asset regardless and he'll only be a Sophmore so undoubtedly there is room to grow.
I agree about Boswell. Watched a bunch of Arizona and he never really jumped off the screen.

Can be a good shooter but is streaky. Is young so there is upside that he develops but I see him more as a complimentary player than one that is going to help carry a team.

I like Maddox a lot but don’t see it really at all with Boswell. If he wasn’t from Champaign I don’t think he’d even be a take. Mediocre defender, meh shooter, not a great ball handler, and obviously we’ve heard of some of the off court issues aswell. Hope to be proven wrong but I’m also a tad skeptical

If he's only a complimentary player, our team is going to have a problem. He'll be here to run the show at that PG spot.

Build and demeanor I could see some D Will in his game at the same age.

I'm not sold that Uconn game plays out the same with a PG to steady the ship especially offensively.
I’m not sold that UConn game plays out the same if it’s just started over … that was a fluke collapse. We likely lose by double digits a majority of times, but we don’t give up a 30-0 run. Get hot from three, stay in it until late and anything can happen. Hell, if we just replicate our meh first half performance we’re down 8 late with at least hope.
