that's Dr. Coleman-Lands to youMe too! Year 14??
B.S. MS. PhD. M.D.that's Dr. Coleman-Lands to you
I mean it might just be as simple as Louisville being willing to give him the price we're holding for Boswell and Storr and others.Referring to Maddox: Louisvilles sell- $ & being the guy.
Illinois sell- solid $, playing for a culture program that can do some serious winning, being a major part of that team, and playing with really good players, a very good head coach, and the best Strength & Conditioning coach in the nation...
Hope you're right. He might be my favorite of guys we're linked with.I would give Illinois the edge over Louisville right now
Literally. I'll show myself out.I see we've reached the point in the off-season where the grammar police are out in full force.
Prolific Prep/Coleman connection ... Xavier is one to watch with Pope ...
I would give Illinois the edge over Louisville right now
Username checks out?I would give Illinois the edge over Louisville right now
At least if he lands them, we have an even better safety net if BU were to go to UK.Is there a polite way you can tell Sean to back off the recruits we're going after?
You must have missed the post where he claimed that 0% of college basketball teams in the history of college basketball had an 11 man rotation and thus we’d never have an 11 man rotation. As the person who just posted a little earlier about probabilistic thinking, I'm pretty surprised by this statement, particularly in the context of what I was replying to.
Man I’ve been all in on Maddox but a Boswell and pope backcourt for the next 2 years sounds incredible.Prolific Prep/Coleman connection ... Xavier is one to watch with Pope ...
Hopefully didn't miss somebody else posting already , but Piper with a CB for Boswell to the Beloved
Ummmmmmmm……. Maybe not the best?Comparing him to the best player in program history that went 3rd overall and was an all pro caliber NBA player might be a bit of a stretch.
I get it from the build that Deron needed to lose weight and Boswell but probably would benefit from getting leaner and quicker.
Thanks, didn't want to be the one.It has become apparent you like discussing the point guard position.
I think people are over the edge on Amani's potential as a 5.Have heard that he is not 6'8 but closer to 6'6,profiles more as a 4,has problems finishing over longer players.Still think he will be a junkyard dog though. So, for the sake of clarification relative to the important takeaway from my post, you would feel comfortable relying on Amani as a potential starter or 25 min/game guy next year, and therefore take pains to not recruit over him? I like -- really like -- the potential that Amani has but if we're thinking about this from a program perspective, I don't see how you could stake so much of our potential success on his ability to jump into that role next year, with fouling as one reason among others. I think it's far more likely that Amani's trajectory is like that of Coleman's, meaning he averages around 15 min/game as a dual purpose backup 4/5 as a sophomore, with the potential to earn a starting spot as the season goes along.
Those piper crystal balls are as good as gold.Hopefully didn't miss somebody else posting already , but Piper with a CB for Boswell to the Beloved
2014 UK had a 10 man rotation. 9 of whom played in the NBA.You must have missed the post where he claimed that 0% of college basketball teams in the history of college basketball had an 11 man rotation and thus we’d never have an 11 man rotation.
His point that it’s highly unlikely remains accurate, but the statement as written is the exact opposite of probabilistic thinking.
For example there is no way Virginia will lose to UMBC, because a number 1 seed has never lost in the first round.
Or, the likelihood that some team in college basketball history had some semblance of an 11 man rotation.
My point is two fold. This board is a place where hyperbole is frequently unleashed. And just because I know I shouldn’t eat an entire sleeve of Oreos, isn’t going to stop me from eating them or rationalizing it’s okay because they’re vegan.
? source? TSJ and Amani did not remotely look to be the same height to my eyes last yearI think people are over the edge on Amani's potential as a 5.Have heard that he is not 6'8 but closer to 6'6,profiles more as a 4,has problems finishing over longer players.Still think he will be a junkyard dog though.
