This might not be the appropriate thread to post this question, so move if necessary Dan.....players that have entered the portal...are they still considered UI students and on scholarship??? and in Dain's situation, he's committed to Memphis...is he still on campus and attending classes to finish out the semester or is he gone and made some type of arrangements to complete spring semester classes to get credit?? curious how this all plays out....Thanks in advance

well it certainly makes sense. He lost his guy, and he's being recruited over for a 2nd year in a row. I made the unpopular call that he was going to transfer as soon as he announced the RS. It is hard to just create a jumpshot at 20, and we're not going to stop bringing in guys from the portal.

Loved his defensive intensity even though we didn't get to see it last year. In the video that was posted a few days ago, it looked like his ball control and offense had greatly improved. Wish he had stayed, but I can understand why.
Does he end up at WVU?

@LvilleILL @Indy Illini Fan with sencire now in the portal, does this open up a new scholarship that the staff wasn't expecting? And thus add any new targets to use it on? Or is the "over sign by one" just change to no longer over-signing.

Why even scout and recruit high school kids if you’re going to recruit over them? I don’t blame these guys for transferring out personally I think it’s BS to say we wanted you in the beginning and now you’re not good enough so you’re gonna sit on the bench why even get any commits if this is what’s gonna happen?
Sincere is the epitome of a WVU type player that I picture in my head…from a style of play standpoint
