Well have to say, at least portal season brings the amusement. Seriously though, I hope Andre gets back to a place before he had long term symptoms from multiple concussions. Yeah, he's made some poor life choices, but the kid had more promise than any of us could ever dream of. Sad it turned out the way it did.

How about the insiders who said Kylan and Storr would decommit and Illinois was their primary destination. They said this with 4 weeks left in the season.

I was a doubter in the past but have seen enough to know that 2-3 posters either have inside info or can forecast with great accuracy items that are not on anybodies radar yet.

Actually I believe the "insiders" mentioned Boswell last portal season as well during the PG insider fiasco.

Let’s just say this…. At the absolute worst:

The top insiders on this forum follow basketball very closely. They know substantially more than most anyone on this thread. They know high school basketball, college basketball, and the NBA. They know who’s making visits. They have an idea about rumors and other information that is circulating in the basketball world.

Where are they getting this info? These guys may be AAU or HS coaches. They may be Illinois boosters. They may just be guys with a lot of time on their hands watching games, scouring Twitter, and viewing every P6 message board in the country. Does it matter where they get their information?

If you follow this forum closely (I check almost every day) then you would know that these guys are right more often than not. Stop wasting thread space disparaging the guys who are the only reason most of us come to IL.

The thing is… there are people in this world and this forum who are miserable if they are not miserable and they want us to come along on their miserable a$$ ride.

These aren’t insider takes. These are foreseeable common sense outcomes to those that follow basketball.

Chester Frazier leaving IL was not foreseeable. Therefore, it would have taken true insider knowledge to know he was on his way out. Crickets from Jeremy, Sturdy, Piper on this too until news leaked from national sources. And not coincidentally, crickets here bc the “insiders” here parrot them.

Now, I don’t know how you all handle your business, but I always tell everyone my intentions, with complete certainty, while at least half of the pieces are still moving on the chessboard. Never once changed my mind to account for new information. Can’t do it. Dreadful stuff. I just go with my gut 100% and I do it early. Anyway, it’s a good policy and you should try it in your professional careers and I hear it’s a winner in poker, too.

Don't understand the narrative regarding Maddox if he chooses Louisville. Lot of kids/athletes follow the money (college and professional) some take the money for opportunity for more playing time vs the opportunity for winning.

Bottomline. Chester Frazier is a famous assistant coach formerly of IL. When he left for West Virginia, it was not broken by anyone here (despite “insiders!”).

If I want to take an insider seriously, man you gotta be on something as big and as close to the program as that. If you aren’t, you probably aren’t connected at all. Even Jeremy missing this shows you he isn’t all that connected and neither is anyone here. The only truly connected guys are the national writers. It’s always been that way
