Mic quality for questions from the press during our coach/player interviews is the #1 weakness of our football and basketball programs. We have an otherwise great AD. Can he not fix it?
That misses the point. A strong, skilled 6-7 center with decent length made the HoF. It shows it can be can be done. It doesn't mean every similar player will become an NBA legend.
Basketball has changed since then, but it has actually moved away from the dominant 7 footer
Unseld is a fair comparison for physical, undersized centers. Much like Vitale always used to compare undersized power forwards with Adrian Dantley. He didn't mean they were that were that good.

Brad made it clear that he wants to have an open ride at all times ... Assistants may want to be at 13 ... But Brad wants 12 ... Because he really is only going to play 8, maybe 9 for spot minutes come March ...

My 1st thought was exactly the same thing.... Jeremy Roach from Duke entered the portal and the draft. He would be a 5th year senior (grad?). I don't see him on any NBA draft boards, so I'm guessing this is the "what do I need to improve" trial run. I like his 3P% and 1.1 steals/game. Any opinions on him as the starting 2G?

Maybe Booth goes pro if he really develops but probably should have all of them for multiple seasons and COVID eligibility will expire after this year so teams will be a lot younger(21/22 will be older instead of the 23/24 we have been seeing).
At least Boswell and Booth will turn 19 this summer, but yes this feels more like a 2 year plan.

We currently have 3 open rides. The post Indy responded to said they expect one more transfer out and 3 players coming in. That leaves one open ride.
Mahaney played off ball a lot because Marciulionas has been their primary ball handler(Logan Johnson the year before).
But I don't really see how having two 6'3 guards that can handle the ball and shoot would be an issue.

Yes, that I got. The question is the person leaving as he also said, "Assistants may want to be at 13 ... But Brad wants 12". It could just be me picking up something he's not actually saying, but if the assistants want 13 but Brad actively wants 12, that logically would mean:
1. We have 3 open spots. 1 player is actively deciding to leave. Assistants would like to bring in 4 transfers to fill the 13 spots. Brad only wants to bring in 3 transfers to leave an open spot.
Or
2. We have 3 open spots. Assistants and Brad want to bring 3 transfers in. Assistants or good with that but Brad wants an open spot as well. Player who previously wanted to stay is Creaned to get down to 12 spots.
And I just don't recall him saying that another person leaving was part of the plan. True everything is fluid, and it's more than possible someone saw the changes and was like "I'm out", but that's why I'm asking for clarification. I simply don't know but am interested in the answer.
