Walk by faith and not by ... something or another. I guess I should stick to the point and just say: some posters are concerned. Other's ain't, and that's just fine.

I think Coach is taking on a major challenge, I think he wants that challenge, and I hope to **** he pulls it off. I think he can but I sure don't know that. Wish I had blind faith. :)

Over-optimistic assurances, beliefs and assessments are sure-fire annual occurrences here. That's just my observation.

We win some recruitments, lose most, but in the end have done very, very well of late. I am hoping to upgrade that eval from "very, very well" to the next level up.

That's a very-defendable point of view. But there is another perspective, you'll be chagrined to learn of, which is that the portal may be one of the factors that leads to the demise of the sort of collegiate basketball experience we have known. As badly flawed as it may well have been over the past decades, it could get worse. I know I have been admonished over and over and over to be wary of what I wished for. So I hope things settle down in the next couple of years but in fact they may just not.

So no, it's not a fact, Jack. It's a viewpoint.

I asked Indy about Johnell Davis, and he said definitively that he wouldn’t be coming to Illinois. He gave the reason, but that is his to share if he chooses.

Michigan State basketball has made contact with four transfers in the portal. Here's a quick recap of where MSU stands with each.

they listed 4 then said 3 of 4 will not be going to MSU. Their big hope is Fidler from Omaha 15-18 team in Summit league with South Dakota State

Not an insider but my boy from high school is close with Dante Maddox and was feeling pretty reluctant today. Take this for what it’s worth 😉
