Prepare to not be surprised.Robbie Avila watch today?
It might be worth noting, the article that was linked yesterday indicated that that $5mil per year is spread across multiple sports, including football and men's and women's basketball. But, your point still stands - if they want to prioritize him (and why wouldn't they?), it would seem that they could be pretty competitive if it came to a price war.FedEx is donating $25mil to NIL over the next 5 years. I’d imagine they find a way to keep him.
Seems anti climactic since he is doing an on campus visit there today. For SLU maybe
I like Humrichous as a 1 year rental at the stretch 4 so that we don't have to start Booth yet, IF we don't get Coleman back. If Coleman comes back, I don't see the need for Humrichous. I'd love to give Booth and Morez 1 year of off-the-bench development time before turning them loose as starters the next year.Ben Humrichous - Evansville Purple Aces Forward - ESPN

Tim Anderson recruited him to DePaul, as well.It might be worth noting, the article that was linked yesterday indicated that that $5mil per year is spread across multiple sports, including football and men's and women's basketball. I don't know if anyone can speak to the health of the Memphis men's bball program, as I've heard a little that it might not be the healthiest - I thought I saw some people express some concern when Dain committed there. Our best hope might be that David Jones wants out of there because of that, and maybe we can use his connection with OA along with some serious NIL money to get him.

We have been saving our NIL for someone... This would be the guy I would back up the Brinks truck for. He's a legitimate All-America candidate. Of the players eligible to play next season, only Edey averaged more points per game. He is also a tremendous rebounder for a wing player.all that, for sure. but guessing winning big, on the biggest stage, with a legit chance at hardware has significant cachet too
The rules changed during the season. Going into this season, players were only allowed one transfer without sitting a year. A handful of guys, including Adam Miller, sued for immediate eligibility, and won. Now it's wide open. This is another major paradigm shift in roster building.I don't see the point in going after high school kids anymore, if we just gonna be bring in 10 new players every year. I know this year was a little different, but what was the point of bringing some of these guys when we knew we were gonna push them out?
And the other way as well. What's the point of a high school kid going to a school who is likely to get the next guy out of the portal each year. As it stands now, the ideal situation for a kid in the 25-150 range is to go mid major to a program that fits his style and where he can develop and then find the school he wants. mid majors are going to be the next JC.I don't see the point in going after high school kids anymore, if we just gonna be bring in 10 new players every year. I understand that. I just hope some changes come to the portal in the coming years. NCAA has more roster turnover than nba teamsThe rules changed during the season. You still need to recruit HS players, even if they aren't a take immediately. How do you think we got Kylan and Booth here? They knew us because we recruited them as preps. It's always going to be about developing relationships... as well as NIL...
Who’s hungry for some recruiting news?
Yeah, it will probably be months before we win another game...What’s going on? This roster isn’t even worthy of a CBI invite.
If Coleman comes back, and he hasn't had surgery, who is to say he doesn't have the same or worse knee problems that he is dealing with right now? Not you, but many folks assume if he comes back he will be 100 percent and all will be great. I would expect him to have less playing time if he is back, dealing with the knee.I like Humrichous as a 1 year rental at the stretch 4 so that we don't have to start Booth yet, IF we don't get Coleman back.
