This is my first post on Illinois Loyalty so if I’m wrong to post I’m sorry. I was following the flight tracker last night did anyone see where n457qs was last night? White Plains, NY. That is where Boogie is from. It went from Champaign to Lexington to South Bend to Florida to White Plains. Some one is cooking.

Hey, sorry to burst the bubble here but one of NetJets home bases is that airport in White Plains (HPN - Westchester County).

The others make sense. Anyone have guesses to the significance of Florida?

Although they have over 200 bases all over the U.S. I have no idea where that particular crew was from but if you told me it originated in white plains before going to Champaign then you are likely correct

Otherwise, I would deem it almost implausible that OA is not going to see Boogie and his family as one of his first orders of business - he led his recruitment and developed a close relationship with them. It may not work out given the $$$ and fit, etc. but OA is going to try, that is for sure

The whole premise of paying OA close to $1M as an assistant is to up our game recruiting wise to another echelon- getting McD AA and do what OA is good at. You can’t bring him in and say we do want to pay McD AA prices and just bring in transfers every year to build our team- it would completely defeat the purpose. As we get more top recruits and put more players in the NBA, we attract better players and it starts to build on itself

Jordan Brand Classic is this afternoon at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Boogie and Rez are playing.

Also, the transfer portal has shown prior recruiting relationships matters. OA has the connections to get us in the door on the 1st, 2nd and even 3rd opportunity on this new world of the Portal.

How long will it be before more guys transfer than stay in the NCAA?
It's getting nuts. And the next question will be how long will it be until more guys transfer twice than just once.

I mean, guys are either transferring for more playing time or more money (which sort of implies more PT), right? Not everyone who transfers can get more PT and/or be guaranteed they won't be recruited over, so the grass will always look greener to many.

There need to be some restrictions put in place soon imo.
