Sorry, but I get a faint taste of sour grapes. I object to bad mouthing former players who leave of their own free will. The coaching staff saw something in them that made it worth signing them instead of other available high schoolers.

It’s like degrading the girl you once adored after she decided she found someone better.
I’m not sure I was bad mouthing anyone. As a matter of fact I complemented the obvious effort they played with. You can’t deny that the guys who followed Chester were some of the least skilled on our roster though. To be national champion caliber takes a roster of player that are both…. and high performing leaders (BU) have to make tough decisions to maximize results. Like recruiting over “culture” guys who do everything they’re asked. All I’m saying is we should all be happy Brad isn’t settling for just being good.

Hypothetically speaking, thoughts on something along these lines:

Onyenso
Humrichous
Jones
Brea
Boswell

Some combination of White/Morez/Booth/DGL/Ty off the bench (not necessarily all)

Hypothetically speaking, of course
looks good. if domask gets a 6th year then probably no jones

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I’m not that upset about Chester leaving and taking a bunch of guys who couldn’t crack the rotation on our elite 8 team with him…. Honestly, seems like a good dude, but I never loved him as a player, and I wasn’t that excited about him when we hired him. All his guys are kind of one dimensional. They play hard which is great but aren’t very skilled…. Similar to how he was as a player. You don’t win national championships with a team full of guys like that.
They might not have cracked that elite 8 team but they certainly would this first round roster.

Again, not suggesting anything about the players or the notion that recruits often follow the person that recruited them, nobody needs that explained to them, least of all in caps.
I am saying it seems a bit petty for a coach who has been asked to leave to post something that seems to imply he's not leaving without first inflicting some damage. I think almost everyone liked those two players, but there's a very real possibility that the void they are leaving either is not that much of a void, given their collective historical contributions, or will be filled by two players with the greater potential. As you mentioned, Underwood likely gave his permission for Chester to speak with those players about following him out the door...which makes it all the more silly to post a clip saying you're not leaving without taking something with you.
Too many are getting their panties in a bunch about nothing.
