Amani's offense was limited because he was playing out of position as a 5. Now hopefully he is in position to show what a scorer he can be.
I don't know maybe he just looked slow because of his back injury but he looks like he's more of an undersized 5 than a 4 to me.

He just doesn't look like he moves well enough to play on the perimeter defensively or be more than a pick and pop guy(he ain't beating anyone off the dribble). His shot did look nice though and I know he came into college with some point forward type but I just didn't see that skillset albeit in limited playing time.

Wish him nothing but the best but I'm not heartbroken over losing him. Think Harris has vastly more upside than Amani tbh.

Onyenso has said he’s not thinking about returning to college and is staying in the draft.
I mean, it gets a little comical when guys who average about 2 and a half shots a game and 3.6 pts and 4.8 boards a game say "I have nothing left to prove in college, I'm taking my talents to the NBA", He's not in any mocks I've seen. But he does have measurables and athleticism the NBA covets, he just needs another year or two with OA and he could be a lottery pick as his offense game develops

I don't blame him for going through the process and getting feedback, I think that's all this is

What Frazier is doing reminds me of what Walter's did in FB.....
Stinks in my opinion but out of my control so why trip out about it.......Petty to X in public about it....kinda juvenile and beneath what we should expect from professional people.....

Another example of the " 45 " trauma we have went through the last 8 years...JMHO...

Super raw but rim protection is incredibly covered by the NBA.

Wouldn't hate seeing what he could do with more development. 2.8 blocks per game in 18 minutes is absolutely absurd. He had 10 blocks in 24 minutes against Ole Miss.

Sidenote: any chance we get involved with Cliff Omoruyi since it seems like St Johns has backed off? Maybe too pricy and wants too much of an offensive role but I always thought he would fit in well next to Coleman at the 4.

Dream scenario of Boswell, David Jones, Domask, Coleman, and Cliff would be tough and a bench mob of Ty, DGL, Morez, Booth, Goode, and Davis would be deep.

I think Walter’s “professionalism” was much worse imo. Brett was good to him. Conference rival, really talked smack without being provoked. Walter was the head coach…Chester just an assistant.

Chester may feel a bit slighted by Brad by how it all went down. I think he’s mostly just having fun. He IS an Illini…plus basketball players follow assistants all the time

Hypothetically speaking, thoughts on something along these lines:

Onyenso
Humrichous
Jones
Brea
Boswell

Some combination of White/Morez/Booth/DGL/Ty off the bench (not necessarily all)

Hypothetically speaking, of course
If we end up with that squad…😳😳😳 Sign me up all day every day!!!

That’d be a lot of length and a lot of shooting, an actual rim protector and a pg

While it does feel a bit immature, I can ignore the bad taste in my mouth. There's a decent chance that Chester just did the most tangible positive thing he's ever going to do for WVU. It's pragmatic to toot his own horn over it. I don't think he has the profile (yet) to quietly pretend like this is no big deal.

I assume that it's cool for the guys to go somewhere new but still practice with familiar faces. Good for them, if so.

Not gonna lie, it would be weird watching a team with an entirely different starting 5. Not saying that's bad.

If that team is successful, it would be highly entertaining to watch the rest of the big 10 react to losing to a bunch of strangers.
