Luke Goode, good luck to you brother. I want to thank you for your dedication and commitment to the Illini Nation and want to encourage you to keep being such a great role model for the kingdom.

You have credibility in so many ways to open many doors, I pray that you use that to glorify God.

Basketball is great, but you belong to something greater. God bless!!!!

I guess we’re creating room for Jaden Schutt…. Is Brad interested?

It is an odd, odd world where a kid doesn't even start for Dayton, yet has the ability to transfer to that list of basketball schools. Wow.
does it really matter if you're out for the opening tip when you get close to 30 mpg? Those are starters minutes, regardless when you first stepped foot on the court.

Given his list, and the fact that he played high school ball in New York. I'd imagine playing for a 2 time defending national champion in your own back yard would be enticing.

There's more Coleman to the portal smoke. @insiders, are you guys still sure Coleman won't transfer?

Not super difficult to do for normal students when you can come in with 40 credits from AP and dual credit classes.

Very impressive when you factor in that he was playing basketball however. And I don't know how common it is but I'd recommend any college athlete actually attempting to get a degree take an online class or two in the summer to keep the workload down during the season(especially spring semester for basketball players).
Got it, but then still very impressive that he he had all those credits from AP. I was not that smart. Took me all 4 years

The new normal in college basketball (and probably football) is that if you are a bench player on a P6 team, you are going to be recruited over. Doesn't mean you can't crack the rotation or starting lineup, just that the staff is doing its due diligence to field a winning team.

Your current team will value you at a certain NIL level and will not overspend to retain you. But some other team WILL overspend to get you. Recruiting will be more fluid than ever before.

Wish Goode nothing but the best …

Great kid … Great family …

He’s been a great Illini. A credit to the program. And truth be told... his game did have some limits that showed up on the court. But no one can question his great attitude and coach-like vibe on the floor. And when he was hot... the Three Line was smoking.

He will do well in his new environs. And let’s hope that our Beloved’s Leaders keep the Indiana pipeline open in the future. Too much talent over there to ignore.

Has nobody here ever left a job for a pay raise or company that was a better fit? This is the game now.
Some fans/posters on here literally haven't. My uncle taught in the same grade school classroom for 30+ years. I have 2 cousins that started at UPS in high school, and still drive brown trucks 25+ years later. Farmers work the same ground for generations. It may be a bygone era, but that kind mindset is what has defined many Illinois fans...and residents.
How else do you explain remaining in a state with no beaches, no mountains, and 130 degree temperature fluctuations.
