Saw someone on twitter saying that we are out on Fland because his camp is asking for guarantees. Anyone know if that is true?

Not to go too off topic, but the reason this has infected even nominal non-profits like Universities is because it’s an ideology embedded in the culture of American business leadership. It’s not about the motivations or incentives of any given entity, it’s operating at a deeper level than that.

Simply incorrect, bad for business bad for humanity ideas are embedded and taken as given truisms across an ever larger number of domains.

The actual truth? It’s what I said earlier in the thread. The fans are the money. THAT is the coldly rational view. Cynical short-termism is just robbing from Peter to pay Paul.
just throwthis out there, as what people here seem to be struggling with, different background/history of the word , but by my son threw it out as to conference realignment a bit ago & I know Gritty is a big fan of conference realignment

And personally I'm not yet as horrified as everyone else with all the change

The portal era has too many moving parts to make sense of what the ultimate product will look like. Brad got us to the Elite 8 so he's got my trust until the results on the court show otherwise.

I need to vent a little though. Did anyone else's wife get them a Sweet 16 shirt instead of an Elite 8?
I feel for ya, but you should be happy. My wife would have no idea what Elite 8 even means.

If I had to guess, Coleman is assessing his market value. Hopefully to ultimately come back to Illinois. At the same time, given the lack of continuity from last year, it wouldn't be the worst thing for the new players to start building chemistry without Coleman that will hopefully develop over multiple years.

My friend, who is a huge IU fan and doesn't spread rumors, told me that he heard Goode visited IU yesterday. He does have a brother there so that's not out of the question why he would be there, but I would really not like Goode in clown pants next year.

IDKWTI2?

Sigh, cause I really, really like Luke...

In the 2022 offseason we lost ten players. Assuming Goode doesn't come back, we're currently at eight players leaving.

You’re calling him a “very big piece”? 🥴🥴 Nice role player but now you got me nervous.

Same thing people said about domask. Not saying he is domask, but he is very skilled offensively. Just because a guy isn't athletic, doesn't mean he can't be a stud.

This showed lack of confidence in EDG's. Then again the Final Four shirt would have been premature.

man i didn’t think i was that old but who is trilly, what is discord and why do we care what this person says?
He's probably the biggest insider in CBB. He's predicted plenty of things this off-season, including a lot of IU and B1G news in general.

Has nobody here ever left a job for a pay raise or company that was a better fit? This is the game now.
This is my own opinion, of course, but I don't think of playing college basketball as a job, not in the traditional sense (and it wasn't until the last couple of years). Heck, if I was good enough to play college basketball I would do it for free, or, hey, here's an idea, I would play in exchange for, oh, say, a scholarship to pay for my education.
