I think some of these schools that took early commitments are going to be a little upset they didn't wait based on some of the rumors I am hearing regarding elite talent entering the portal now ...
Have you heard Kalkbrenner as well?

I think that 6'0" 205 lbs. Butler Guard Posh Alexander would be a nice addition as a BACKUP point guard. Is he willing to come off the bench at Illinois? If he's starting at PG next season, Illinois is in trouble in my humble opinion. I know he's apparently a VG defender, but can he handle switching on picks? Nightmare scenario: watching him try to guard a big after a switch. Posh shot 33.3% on 3s last season for Butler. I believe that was his first year shooting 3s at a percentage over 30%. But Illinois does NEED a ball handler, distributor, defender to back up Boswell at the point guard position. I wonder if Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn will immediately enter the transfer portal if Illinois adds Posh Alexander?
Why would he start at PG? Didn't you see we got one of those already?

@Indy Illini Fan Wondering how the staff is managing the portal with the sheer volume of players that are in it. Not sure how much insight can be given with 3000+ names in the portal (mix of mid and high major talent), planning for names not yet in the portal, and balancing NIL. Is the process more extensive than High School recruiting? Seems like interest is shown in players within minutes of them entering the portal. I'm a current student so I'm just interested in how this whole process is navigated.

Someone needs to invent cottage cheese fries and ruin Loyalty's off-season brain.

COTTAGE CHEESE FRIES

Written By Bradley Bohn

INGREDIENTS
  • 8 Servings of Crinkle Cut Fries (I used Kroger Brand)
  • 2 Cups of 4% Cottage Cheese Blended
  • 4 Tablespoons of Hoosier Hill Farm Big Daddy Mac Mix Cheese Powder (You can use any cheese powder of your preference)
  • 1 Cup of Private Selection Alpine Blend Cheese (White Cheddar would be a good substitute)
  • 4 tsp Siracha Hot Chili Sauce
  • 6-8 Green Onions
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Kimchi Seasoning (Optional or sub with a light dusting of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes)
Preparation:
1. I chose to air fry my French Fries at 380 Degrees for roughly 16-18 Minutes vs bake or deep fry. They turned out very crispy and golden brown; however, follow the package directions for whichever cooking method you 5.

About 3 Minutes before your Fries are done cooking prepare the cheese sauce.
2. Blend Cottage Cheese until very smooth
a. Next add in Cheese Powder to the blended cottage cheese and stir
b. Measure out a cup of shredded cheese in a bowl and rinse it off and drain the water off and combine with cottage cheese mixture in a Microwave Safe bowl
  • This will help it melt better
  • If you freshly grate your cheese, skip this step.
3. Place the Cottage Cheese Mixture in the microwave for 30-60 Seconds and then stir. It will likely only need 1 minute to 90 seconds total to become warm and pourable.
  • NOTE: this will set up very quickly! Do Not microwave it until right before you are ready to pour it over your French Fries!!!
4. If you timed this step appropriately, your fries should have just finished cooking in the air fryer. Place the cooked French fries in a bowl and toss with salt and Kimchi seasoning
5. Place fries on a serving plate/platter from the bowl
6. Pour Melted Cheese Mixture over the french fries

[I'd have just linked it, other than the steps were interleaved with another recipe that they were preparing at the same time.]

Yes - which makes me wonder if the $1.5 - 2.0M NIL deal rumors are two year numbers, given I can't imagine a team given him that much as a freshman knowing he can just walk for his sophomore year - which is the year you really want to buy

If it helps us land Ben H - I'm all for Louisville using their NIL on Jayden Q

Louisville is also getting or already got the Long Beach State big guy ... I can't keep up on socials but a coach there told me he committed ...

They've spent a lot of that NIL budget ...
