Where do we stand with Poopy McGee?
Deron Williams did as well, unless you only think points drives results.I mean it kinda doesn't.
Anderson and Frankie didn't play as freshmen, Ayo was a frosh on the losingest team in program history, and Belo was a lot of fun in a very limited role.
Dee and Kofi are the only guys there who really drove success as freshmen, and as we've mentioned with super seniors still hanging around and the portal making good teams older and deeper, it's a uniquely challenging time for freshmen.
Morez has the opportunity to help us next year, but expecting him to be Batman is a bad idea. Luckily our staff is not expecting that and is out there seeking our big scoring star right now.
So your saying Wooga (is a) Chuckavisions of the pep band playing the chorus of Hooked on a Feeling!
I'd prefer he just stay here and battle for PT. I think he has enough juice to earn a significant role this year. That kid has a lot of talent and drive, and he seems to love being an Illini. He's not afraid to be coached hard and doesn't shy away from the work. He will be a high level B1G player sooner than later.I certainly, as a fan, do not want DGL to transfer, but wouldn’t him transferring to a smaller school, where he could star, be beneficial to him?!
If he went to on to start and star at a smaller place and averaged 17, 4, and 4, wouldn’t he have a huge market coming into his junior year?
What if he stayed “committed” to us and did this?!
Pretty sure for a game thread, all you need to do is create a single template and it would be good for all games. The mood seems to be the same win or loss...and not in a good way.Committing to this bit requires me to read every post and then capture the mood of the board. Needless to say, I will NOT be doing something similar in the game threads.

I heard it's a Hot One.Do you have any idea who the mystery wing is?
Maybe maybe not, but either way that's not the point. The only way he's playing at Iowa is if he isn't as good as Poopy McGee.
I've been and out of this thread over the past few weeks and I love how in that span we have gone from Storr and Maddox paired with the return of Coleman and Marcus to 'we just need bodies for practice'You still need bodies in practice, even if players aren't seeing the floor during games.
It’s fluidWhere do we stand with Poopy McGee?
And for the record, Kiwane Garris was ---- along with Deon ---- also one of our biggest impact true Freshman (of all time?). 16 ppg, primary ball handler, leader in FT's attempted and FT's made, and on-the-court team leader. Shot 47%/33%/80% in his first year.I mean it kinda doesn't.

This doesn't look good.....
Bad vibes with Jones?
An answer to who the wing is
That team would have certainly been an NCAA tournament team if not for the probation. Kiwane Garris was pretty impactful as well.Morez could be more in the vein of Deon Thomas' freshman year of 1990/91. Kaufman was "the man" 21.3 ppg but Deon was #2 at 15.1 ppg and leading rebounder at 6.8. Team was picked very low but finished 3rd in Big Ten (21-10 record).
Was Deron pictured? Kiwane?I mean it kinda doesn't.
