We had his commitment until Self left. Winning a Natty your freshman year is very impressive. Imagine what he could've done with the 05 Illini teamCan't be U of I....he said Illinois University...wherever that is

I received all three of my degrees at Illinois, and ended up as a research scientist at Indiana University. What does that make me.I quietly disagree with a vast majority of things Gritty writes. It’s not personal. We are just on two ends of the spectrum in terms of the transfer portal and college athletics and that’s ok.
On this point, I agree mostly. I don’t care if you use all your eligibility at a single school. I don’t even actually care if you want to transfer to a rival. But you lose the right to call yourself a ____ for life when you transfer to a rival. You can’t be an Illini for Life and transfer to Indiana or Iowa or Missouri.
That’s not me being selfish. That’s reality. I have a bachelors from Tennessee and a MBA from Illinois. I never considered getting my MBA from Alabama, Florida, Georgia or Kentucky. It wouldn’t have mattered how good their MBA programs were. I DETEST all of those schools on a molecular level.
One smart person who excelled in school.I received all three of my degrees at Illinois, and ended up as a research scientist at Indiana University. What does that make me.

Nah, with the unusual level of times IL uses Larry Bird for comps and with earlier posts, I would lean towards the Humming Bird especially since he moves so well with and without the ball.Hummer gonna be hummin in O&B

Ben is a matchup problem. With the way he dishes out dimes, I can see some pretty basketball with him and Rez on the floor together, not to mention Boz and Ty. Ball movement defined.People need to stop trying to distinguish between 4s and 5s. We have three bigs in Ben, Booth and Morez. Maybe we’ll add another. They have different strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes we’ll play two of them at a time. Sometimes only one at a time. They’ll have different roles based on their respective strengths and weaknesses that most likely will not fit neatly into the box of traditional (i.e. 1990s basketball) 4 or 5.

Let's be real, he would've gone to Indiana if they recruited him out of high school.
Lol! I wish this was the case for him, but that is not clear. They have brought in a lot of players at his position unless they are going to try and play him at the 2, which he cannot defend. It may not be easy for him to find more playing time there, but I wish him all the best until he plays us, and then I hope his team is completely and utterly decimated, dejected, and has to rethink their life choices going back to kindergarten. The Goode news is sad, but he wanted more PT, and the best way to do that is for him to transfer to a lower tier program like IU.
You are dead to us! How dare you!I received all three of my degrees at Illinois, and ended up as a research scientist at Indiana University. What does that make me.
David Jones who is likely going to stay put in the draft with the feedback he’s getting.
