I received all three of my degrees at Illinois, and ended up as a research scientist at Indiana University. What does that make me.
Humble? LOL
PS I got 3 of them too, but only the 1st was from UIUC (chemistry)
And no it doesn't make me humble either
Ended up as a research scientist at UPENN, so there. LOL

According to Badger journalists, Brad Underwood put a Vulcan mind meld on Storr halfway thru the Big Ten schedule, thereby costing the Badgers a chance to win the NCAA, WNBA, and NBA championships.
The fact that midway through every season with the Badger coach the team wants to bail isn't an Illinois problem. Gard doesn't come off as a pleasant personality, seems like every year their is player dissent. Their was a large revolt about 3-4 years ago when some of their players held a tearful meeting discussing with Gard how he just has mentally beaten them down. They can focus on Underwood and Illinois or they can really acknowledge what the problem is. Pods and Domask could have played for Gard, they chose not to.

I is/was likely Luke would not be a starter for the Illini in 2024/2025. So he moved on.

David Jones who is likely going to stay put in the draft with the feedback he’s getting.
We're going to be bad this year aren't we? All this talk about the money we have and all the guys we passed up...

There's 4 days left for players to enter the portal and the only guy we have some form of "in" on is a center who averaged like 4 points a game last year.

We have 3 starter level players in Boswell, Rodgers, and Humrichous, neither of which are probably good enough to be a primary scorer on a good team.

Our only returner of significance is Ty Rodgers, a guy who is effectively a 6'6" center who averaged 6 points last year.

At what point do we panic a little bit? Brad's supposedly "cooking" but to what extent lol...

For you I'd recommend panic right now. In a way it might be relaxing and soothing for you.

It will have impact on us or the process. So it doesn't really matter to me.

It would appear they have swung and missed on super stars so far. Which is surprising coming off an elite 8 run and top offense. But a lot of good names still out there.

At this point in time, this take is laughable.

Bro Travis ...

Good points ... an MBA from Illonois has much merit.

Welcome to the Illini Nation. I and the many Illini Nation bball fans will be excited to watch you and your Illini team mates play next season.

How? Every player graduate or not has to enter the portal within the next 4 days and we have no "in" on any current players of significance. In previous years graduate players could enter later. For example last year by this point:

1. Domask had already committed over 2 weeks ago (April 10th)
2. Guerrier had already committed 2 days ago (April 24th)
3. Harmon had already committed over 2 weeks ago (April 10th)

Yeah, and before the season played out, the current commits sound equal or better. But we all know those additions were stellar.

It is still way too early to be calling it, ffs. If the summer is over and this is our roster, I will voice my hesitations too.

We also played three extra games longer into the postseason compared to last year.

We will absolutely put a great team on the floor.

We've had some leave, .... and we have had some commit! We are up a little as of tonight, as far as talent.

I know 12 out of 14 teams last year wish they had what we have. There is a bunch paying $$ to be like us, but they aren't. It ain't easy to be an EDG, and we have to trust the program.

We have a week or so to see the final results. but we will have enough player to compete for another title. Programs like Indiana are paying $$$, hoping the can have a great team It really is about EDG;s, and I hope we put a team on the floor that will play as a team.

If you look back a few years before BU, then you should appreciate who we are. Not the top team out of 14 or 18. But easily in the top 4, and a history of developing great players that get paid to play a game.

We are Good

Yeah I really don't trust BU and company to build a roster or navigate the transfer portal. They barely have the best record in the conference over the last 5 years. Those guys clearly don't know what they are doing. /S

The most intriguing aspect of the coming season for me is how BU will handle and play Morez. I can only imagine now but expect him to get good minutes at the 4 and 5 during the season without having to carry the team to ludicrous expectations. With 3 spots left to fill the roster indeed looks to have promise..but we don't know yet how many RayJs the Illini are chasing.

Now, if only we can get Pru to take charge of the cheerleading squad.
