I don’t know where Ty would start, but even with how talented that team is, I don’t see him not starting.
I'm not sure which year's team this would be. As far as I know, Fears is not reclassifying. So it wouldn't be 24-25. And I believe Humrichous only has one year of eligibility remaining. So it can't be 25-26 either. Don't think it's conceivable for Fears and Humrichous to ever be teammates. Sadly.

If ty is starting this year I would see it as a step backwards. He does have certain things he excells at but he is not a big minutes contributer. Let's be real he has no jump shot. Matt Painter exposed that and showed the rest of the country how it can be used against us. We are not talking a poor percentage as he hasn't even take one jump shot. If he was playing the five and 6'10 I could see extended minutes but anywhere else he becomes a liability.

Coach is going to have to play 10 next year. This team is 10 deep. That’s not a bad thing, but he has 10 great players.

There is Kylan, DGL, Morez, Tomislav, Carey Booth, Tre, Ty, Jake, Ben and hopefully Demin or the other wing the insiders have discussed if Demin doesn’t pan out.

No one knows the starters. Nobody will know until the team is together, practicing and evaluated. It’s whoever wants it bad enough.

This is the deepest and finest group of basketball players that I would say is in the history of Illini basketball, which is quite a statement.

We had great players leaving, and in my opinion, it was somewhat due to Chester leaving but I feel that it was primarily the intimidation of the incoming group of players. I can’t say that I blame them, but that’s how deep this team is.

Chemistry is so important with any sports team. You could have the most talented group of athletes, but if they’re chemistry is off, they won’t succeed and on the other hand, you can take a group of scrapping fighters like last year‘s team with great chemistry and have the sixth best team in the nation when the smoke clears. So that’s what will be interesting to me is to see how the chemistry evolves; this great group will go as their chemistry goes.

What rumors? No insider on here has stated this recently.
A typical grifter on Twitter making predictions based on breadcrumbs left here. Low-percentage success rate but they don't care about integrity, they just want to be first so they can later claim to have "broken the story." Pretty much the opposite of what credible sources like Werner, Sturdy, and Piper would do.

People like that sicken me. And they're going to ruin what we have here.

I find it hilarious how, about a week or so ago, many on here were freaking out about having 4 open scholarships, only 2 returning players, no alpha, etc. Now we add one player and it's the deepest team in Illinois basketball history.

This team has six highly probable NBA players, at least, what other Illini team had six?

The only one I'm aware of (through this board) is that Bob guy.

Edit: There was another as well a few pages back with 120 twitter followers claiming they are credible "knowers" of the Egor recruitment.

These guys are truly pathetic.

That was actually the point. It was tongue in cheek. The only part that was relatable was that it was a fast food chicken place. My Ferrari came without cockroaches and gravy.

Good point and funny, but I do think that is people feeling that way, with the thoughts that we get Demin. So it's more than Big T for those people. I think Demin is that special, he could come in and be that alpha. In saying that, I still would not say they were the deepest team in history lol

Also, let’s be honest with ourselves. Many in the fandom have run rampant with the “this is the deepest team we’ve had” for the past 3 years before the product even hits the court to tip off the season. And somehow, it’ll still be an 8 man rotation. Tempering expectations be damned.
