Huh. Didn't show up on the main page as playing for Dayton ESPN, but then I guess ESPN isn't exactly known for their accuracy.A deeper dive shows he played at Dayton as a freshman.

Understand people want to be positive but anyone thinking this offseason was anything but a massive failure is delusional. This is a bubble team
There you have it folks!Understand people want to be positive but anyone thinking this offseason was anything but a massive failure is delusional. This is a bubble team

Some people are curious how the system is working. Is that ok with you?
Lol this will be the straw man they’ll speak about for generations. Legend.Understand people want to be positive but anyone thinking this offseason was anything but a massive failure is delusional. This is a bubble team
Speaking as someone with an Argentinian mother, the majority of Argentinians trace their ancestry back to Europe anyway. I'd say we get grandfathered in.It is funny how that's a generic term for "foreign basketball player"
The Eurostep, popularized by Argentinian Manu Ginobili.
It's not as though they wouldn't have needed to make a leap. Butler is an unknown at this level, and Sencire wouldn't have taken a redshirt if he was better than DGL.We don’t have a quality SG unless DGL makes a huge leap. At tge moment we have only two legit guards on the roster.
At this point, i wish Sencire or Butler had stayed.
Maybe a less athletic, slightly more skilled RJ for comp?Fringe top 100 recruit out of an Ohio HS, played at Dayton as a freshman then transferred to USF.
Long, tangle of limbs kind of player, good shooter/skill level for this size, really lacks strength, seems disinclined to play through contact.
I liked Jake Davis' tape better, he popped at the college level immediately, this guy seems to just kinda be drifting his way through.
The offseason isn't over. Yet.
the capitalist system? an auction? pretty basic stuff, at least on this level. and, no, it's definitely not ok with me. get off my lawn!
Very true. Mostly from Germany, Spain, Italy, and France. Something like 97% of Argentinians trace back to European ancestry.Speaking as someone with an Argentinian mother, the majority of Argentinians trace their ancestry back to Europe anyway. I'd say we get grandfathered in.
A lot of Slovenians, too! We even have our own Slovene-Argentine wiki page (which amuses the hell out of me).Very true. Mostly from Germany, Spain, Italy, and France. Something like 97% of Argentinians trace back to European ancestry.

Eh? But he didn't invent it, and that's not who it was named for. A Lithuanian "invented"/popularized it in like the 80s or 90s; I forget the name.It is funny how that's a generic term for "foreign basketball player"

That's who came to mind for me too, watching this tape. Good athlete, good length, perhaps a little too willing to stand outside and shoot 3's. Probably needs to get stronger to be an impact player.Maybe a less athletic, slightly more skilled RJ for comp?
If he’s our mystery wing we are in trouble but his size, playmaking and shooting seems to fit how we want to play. If he’s down to be a developmental piece as our 9th/10th guy I’m all for it. Get him in here and get him fletched and see what we’ve got.
Such a cool country, and on my bucket list of places to go someday, especially after learning so much about it from years of tango.A lot of Slovenians, too! We even have our own Slovene-Argentine wiki page (which amuses the hell out of me).
I mean last year we only had DGL and Nico as true guards and used Domask, Ty and TSJ to do most of the ball handling. We don’t have a quality SG unless DGL makes a huge leap. At tge moment we have only two legit guards on the roster.
At this point, i wish Sencire or Butler had stayed.
It was like magic when he started doing it to longer, more athletic defenders in the NBA. Now you see me, now you don't.Eh? But he didn't invent it, and that's not who it was named for. A Lithuanian "invented"/popularized it in like the 80s or 90s; I forget the name.
Edit: I guess the Eurostep has its own Wiki page, and Ginobli did, indeed, popularize it in N. America. Honestly had no idea. I've always read of it coming from European leagues, which it did, but anyway. . . Whatever.
For us. What a weird question.Where?
