We have a top 3 frontcourt in the conference next year and one of the best point guards. Yes, still need to add a piece or two, but I cannot take the bottom of conference takes anymore. No, this offseason hasn't been perfect, but it's still been pretty damn good so far
Give it up, you’re not gonna convince these people.

These guys forget without Trent and Kofi Brad beat Michigan state and the great Izzo a few years back.

The man can coach.

I would say Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan, Purdue, Rutgers, Maryland, Michigan State, USC, and Northwestern are all better than us. Also UCLA, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Oregon are right where we are and would be toss up games.

Let's just buckle up and enjoy the ride. If you don't want adventure, challenges, ups and downs, then don't come to the amusement park. I believe there is a special exit for those who change their mind about the rollercoaster at the last minute when their heart grows weak.

I don’t want to judge before the roster is complete, but as of now, the roster so far has been downgraded at every position except point guard, and every #1 scoring option they try to sign gets more money elsewhere, and then we’re told that player is actually a bum (then why did we want him?). Right now I don’t see anybody on the roster that’s a scoring threat when the shot clock is running low, and that offensive hole has been the main problem with a lot of IL teams, basically until Ayo.

It takes a special.....special.......post to jump into the Top 10 Dumbest Posts in Loyalty history.

I hereby submit this post for group consideration.

You can laugh all you want but the numbers back him up. Bart Torvik has Illinois 14th in B10. Do I personally think they’ll be that low - NO, but your personal bias doesn’t make his claim a joke.

Ivisic isn't factored into torvik's rankings...that won't shoot us up to first by any means but it will help a lot...regardless the original poster's claim is still laughable

Love torvik once we’re in season - but that projection has JJ (redshirt) and Redd (walk-on) in our production and doesn’t have the new center. Those 2 guys aren’t seeing the court and missing a guy whose playing 25+ minutes a game.

You add Kaluma or Watkins to that and it’s around 40th even without big T.

Shows why those preseason rankings don’t mean much to me…..

This entire post is wrong but Northwestern being better than us is the most laughable part. Buie isn't gonna be there to hero ball them to victory anymore. They weren't better than us with him and they won't be better than us without him.

Here comes the contingent of fans who will never be satisfied regardless of results. They love to hang out in post game threads after losses, but rarely show up after wins.

Big ten wins past 5 yrs: 69
Big ten wins previous 10 yrs: 73

If you’re discontent with the state of the program now, you’ll never be happy.

Fan’ing like that must be such a chore.
See, for me, I'm more than content with Brad's success and results. And how we do this year won't impact how I feel about him.

But the team, as currently constructed, has significant question marks and does not look to be a top half of the Big Ten team.

I'm a huge, huge fan of our coach and the state of our program. And I also don't think we're going to be all that good next year, which is fine. The current roster, for me, is about development for the following year.
