Money is obviously a big one. Also look who we've brought in - Humrichous, Booth, White, Ivisec. Those are all guys that would be competing with him for minutes. I believe he's sincere when he says it wouldn't be fair to those guys if he came back. They were recruited with the assumption that he wouldn't be here.
I thought about that, but if he went somewhere else wouldn't the same thing happen? There would be players there who didn't expect Coleman to be recruited just the same as here. That part, always seemed a bit sketch to me. Sounds good though.

Just sayin’…if we would randomly get matched up with a team where Coleman is playing in the tournament…

Don’t forget Morez! Definitely affect his minutes as well.
Yes. We're pretty loaded up front. I love Coleman, but I'm not sure it would be worth it for us to pay him a lot to come back. I'd much rather allocate whatever we have left for a quality SG. It's just such a huge hole in our lineup as of now.

I am aware of reports that we have a donor who would pay specifically for Coleman, regardless of what anyone else is paid. I'm wondering if that's still the case given who we've added up front.

I'd Crean Hum or someone else to bring Coleman back for another year. Would suck to do to do but nature of the portal.

All that being said I think Coleman coming back would have contingent on Domask getting a waiver and adding a center.

He seemed very close with Ty and Marcus to the point where I don't think he would transfer anywhere if both them were back. Obviously got Ivisic but the only player tying Coleman to the team is Ty.

It wouldn’t be random. We will 100% be in Coleman Hawkins’ pod or side of the bracket if he returns to college. That is a given.

Kinda surprised there's no buzz here about Arthur Kaluma.
Good player but it's simply roster composition. The Illini need a player with more guard skills than Kaluma has.

Kaluma is best as a modern 4 that can play on the perimeter and rebounds very well and can function as a 3 but the Illini have a bunch of those guys.

Ty, White, and Humrichous function in that role and even Booth is a very perimeter oriented big.

Looking for more of a combo guard type wing than a hybrid wing/forward.

I'm right there with you on Cedric. With him and Tre White on the wings we'd have terrific athleticism, size, and a lights out 3 pt. shooter in Cedric.
