I watched some Jake Davis tape last night. With all the Goode love on here, I think people are really sleeping on him. I think he will be an upgrade at that spot.
So you think he will have no adjustment from playing in the Southern Conference to the Big Ten? He'll perform just as well against Indiana as he did Georgia State?

I find that hard to believe. Goode shot 39% for his career against top competition. Davis has a lot to prove before we call him an upgrade. I highly doubt Davis averages more than 10 mpg. We're not going to all the sudden play a 10 man rotation in Underwood's 8th season. Think the first 7 has given us plenty of evidence, he plays a 7-8 man roster depending on the players he has.

I agree with you and he has three years of eligibility left as well.

I don't interpret the Goode love as being for his impact on the court, but rather for his EDG mentality and being a great teammate. Frankly I'm more upset about SH leaving given I think he could have had a real impact next year - we are trying to fill a backup guard spot and he would have been ideal for that role the way things have shaken out

People better accept the fact he will be back in college next year playing elsewhere.

Oh and anyone who hates on the kid for it needs to get lost.
Look, I am one of Hawk's biggest supporters and will wish him the best anywhere he goes (since he told us its not the B1G).
BUT, I have a question for the insiders.......
We were told that there was specific NIL from specific donors, lined up for both Hawk and Domask if they came back, and, that this NIL was not going to take away from the Pool for everyone else.
If this was the case, was it simply Hawk wanted more than what was previously lined up? Was the coaching staff not really pursuing him to come back? Did Hawk just decide that 4 years at one school was enough? I watched his interview with Goodman, and had mad respect for Hawk not wanting to come back and disappoint the new transfers, but was also surprised that he and BU had not really talked (unless that was a deflection).

Just curious really.

Regardless, he'll go down as one my favorites due to the hilarious, trolling, hard working EDG dude that he is.

He is not a 1st rounder. Projected more like a late 2nd round. So pulling out makes sense. Even if he is guaranteed a 2nd round, a college can pay him more. I think it depends on whether he gets words from a NBA team he likes. Chances are large to come back to college.

Osobor getting 2mil might need to up our bag đź’Ľ
All of the sudden the $1.1 million figure that we heard from Storr doesn't seem so unreasonable. Not saying that we should have paid just that the market has shown that number was not out of line
