Kendall Gill type player would be a perfect add... is that a good comp for Wells?
If we had to choose between Watkins and Egor, in terms of who would be the better add...which one?
No. Calipari did his 5 man platoons at the peak of his Five Star recruiting days. Ten deep is an Illinois board fantasy much like the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.People always talk about playing 10 deep. Do any P5 teams actually play 10 deep once conference play starts? The last team that I remember playing 10 deeps was Calipari's wave experiment. He very clearly said "Never again" after the season.
Almost no one does on purpose, but injuries and foul trouble are very real things. You need a good contingency plan.People always talk about playing 10 deep. Given the trajectory of the thread during May I force myself to stumble through it once a day 'round 7-ish before proceeding to drink heavily, but it's a post like this that makes it all worthwhile. I have absolutely no idea what it means but it mixes zoology with Asian art implying Lord knows what and I'm all for that in a hoops recruiting thread.
I believe his primary feature is "taller than him"Brad has assembled a good roster who can compete. What type of player is he looking for?

I agree that one wants solid 10th and 11th players on the roster to be able to cover an injury at any given position. I was questioning the plan to play 10 deep, which stemmed from an earlier claim by someone that we needed 2 more starters. I can see a starting quality SG/SF helping. I'm not sure we "need" anything beyond that. I expect them to pick up another player that FR/SO looking toward 2025 or 2026.Almost no one does on purpose, but injuries and foul trouble are very real things. You need a good contingency plan.

Okay...?Watkins would have a bigger impact next year. Egor is the better pro prospect
Kendall was the 5th overall pick in the NBA draft. Kendall played, I think, 15 seasons in the NBA. If Underwood can bring in a dude like that as his 10th man, I think Coach goes on Mount Rushmore.Kendall Gill type player would be a perfect add... is that a good comp for Wells?

Egor not even close cmon now….If we had to choose between Watkins and Egor, in terms of who would be the better add...which one?
I completely agree. I don't understand how anybody that looks at this objectively without the orange and blue glasses thinks any differentlyWould be lucky to finish in the top half of the B1G. At most a bubble team.
I think we underestimated the portal NIL inflation regarding Storr. However we were against KU so it would have been hard anyway.I mean sure, I guess.
If we throw a bag at Wells we weren't willing to throw at Storr (an inarguably better player even considering his faults) we've kind of clowned ourselves, but we are desperate in this moment.
Wells is not a superstar and is kind of a one-tool player as a standstill shooter. He's also kinda not really a guard so you still squint a little bit in terms of lineup construction.
But any port in a storm, he would save our bacon here.
We're not looking for a 10th man. We're looking for a starting SG. And obviously someone of Kendall's calibre isn't happening.Kendall was the 5th overall pick in the NBA draft. I hardly think we’re desperate. We have a solid roster, we’re likely going to add to it, and a coaching staff that knows how to get the best out of their players.I mean sure, I guess.

An anthropomorphic turtle and ambiguously South Asian visage. Commentary on our deficiency in speed and release at the 2 and a need for a BOOM there? On BU's alleged plodding pace to fill the roster? A concern about possible salmonella transmission? A thinly-veiled allusion to the impulse of many to retract their heads into their shells during May to avoid disappointment or predation? The facial impression implies curiosity, placidity, or perhaps simply heavy sedation.
All that's clear is that I will not sleep soundly tonight.
Do we know if Moretti is coming back?I agree that one wants solid 10th and 11th players on the roster to be able to cover an injury at any given position. If you can see the writing on the wall…you’re on the toilet.
