If he reclasses to 2024 he has to play two years I’m pretty sure. If he stays 2025 more than likely a one and doneObviously, lots of things can change, but I'm assuming he's looking at being a 1 and done guy, right?

I wouldn’t rule out a kitchen sink being part of the process down there at ‘Bama lol.He still has to visit Oates. Kentucky is Kentucky but Oates is different. They will throw everything but the kitchen sink at him. We will see.
I believe he is eligible for the 2025 draft with his 19th birthday being before the NBA draft. If he reclasses to 2024 he has to play two years I’m pretty sure. If he stays 2025 more than likely a one and done
This is not true. He has to be 19 years old the year he declares and one year removed from his graduating class. He will satisfy both of these requirements in 2025 if he reclassifies. If he reclasses to 2024 he has to play two years I’m pretty sure. If he stays 2025 more than likely a one and done
It's so hard to freaking tell at this point. It sounds like we did everything we could during the visit. We know we have a more favorable PT situation than his other suiters. Just a matter of waiting for the announcement and keeping our fingers crossed.Sounds like we're the clubhouse leader...but there are a couple good players still out on the course.

Good to know, I stand corrected. Thank youThis is not true. He has to be 19 years old the year he declares and one year removed from his graduating class. He will satisfy both of these requirements in 2025 if he reclassifies.
too bad we have a bottom half Big Ten roster..Heard the same - NBA scouts are telling him he the ONLY thing he needs to work on his body and Fletch killed it on the visit...
What a time to be an Illini...in on top 10 talent and right in it at closing time.
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but we are the first one's he has visited. Kinda makes us the clubhouse leader by defaultSounds like we're the clubhouse leader...but there are a couple good players still out on the course.
This is a well worded analogy.Sounds like we're the clubhouse leader...but there are a couple good players still out on the course.
Agreed. I keep telling myself that Alabama (and UK for that matter) is already loaded up at his position, so in theory I shouldn't be super scared of them, and yet I still am anyway...He still has to visit Oates. Kentucky is Kentucky but Oates is different. They will throw everything but the kitchen sink at him. We will see.
Yeah, Oates is an incredible recruiter on his own w/o NLI $ (right up there w Musselman). Add in that Alabama seems to have no problem throwing money around these days.He still has to visit Oates. Kentucky is Kentucky but Oates is different. They will throw everything but the kitchen sink at him. We will see.
I hated the John Groce hire and every minute of the John Groce era…. the sole consolation being that he got us Fletch!Heard the same - NBA scouts are telling him he the ONLY thing he needs to work on his body and Fletch killed it on the visit...

And don't forget, we have Fletch.Yeah, Oates is an incredible recruiter on his own w/o NLI $ (right up there w Musselman). Add in that Alabama seems to have no problem throwing money around these days.
We do have the most playing time to offer him. Hopefully that factors significantly in his choice.
But why do fans care how much athletic boosters pay a player? There is currently no salary cap, budget, etc. so what difference does it make?First off, I am the biggest CoHawk fan there is and have had to defend him to my brothers for a few years, but, to be honest, let's throw the shoe on the other foot............If we said we were spending 2M on a guy with similar stats, and, not knowing CoHawk's true skill set, I bet we'd be a little upset as well. JMHO so don't think I'm not a fan and kind of wish he was back, but I can see where the other fan base is coming from if I were to lay down by orange tinted glasses.
Just making sure...
We are the frontrunner...right?
Edit: A lot of my posts either go through the day after I posted...or don't go through at all. I'd say around 50-60% don't go through at all. I had several not go through yesterday. Anyone know why this happening?
So we didn't want those guys we missed out on! I knew it! That's sort of like me with women.Tim Anderson was on Bardo’s YouTube show and talking about recruiting told him if we really want you we really don’t miss. Find me a brick wall to run through.

Well, over 200 other schools (or, the field) also played in this tournament...so we've got them all beatNot to be a Debbie Downer, but we are the first one's he has visited. Kinda makes us the clubhouse leader by default
That was a really interesting interview. Recommended!Tim Anderson was on Bardo’s YouTube show and talking about recruiting told him if we really want you we really don’t miss. Find me a brick wall to run through.
