Maybe if we stack them all on top of each other and give them a REALLY big uniform, we can count them as one player.

I don't feel like I've heard a whole lot of good things about Hamer being on staff, whether it's on the coaching or recruiting side of things... Am I missing something here?
I’m not sure I’ve ever read or heard anything good about Hamer from anyone who is in the know
KB just credited Hamer in his interview with the B10 network. I think that holds some weight.
Brad has repeatedly praised Hamer, too. So…. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Brad is accused of hyperbole but I do believe him to be sincere in his praise

Most likely correct, although there are still some pretty good backup 5s in recent years that were 6-8, 6-9ish with little-to-no face up game. Guys like Bismack Biyombo (6-8 255) and Montrezl Harrell (6-7 240) are a couple of guys just off of the top of my head, but there are many more.
How about Bam Adebayo? He and Morez both 6'9, similar build, similar game

I think Morez’s closest NBA comp of recent years in the Big 10 at least is Daniel Oturu. He put up 20/11/2.5 blocks his soph year at Minnesota and was drafted in the 2nd rd. Didn’t last long in the league though. He was 6’10 240.

There simply aren’t many guys nowadays getting drafted high who play a paint game but are shorter than 6’10. So I think Illinois will get 4 years out of Morez assuming they aren’t outbid by another college team

And especially not praising whoever was responsible for that offense today…

While I want him to play better, there's a good chance for a Will Riley year two
I have always believed that he would be best served with 2 years of college even when he did get off to a hot start at beginning of the season. Adding strength was always going to be something that scouts would want to see before entering the draft. Jmo
