Kentucky put length and physicality on Will (brilliant gameplan) And he crumbled. He's thrived this season on guards that are 3 or 4 inches shorter than him. When his length advantage is gone- he has really really struggled. Will has been great lately- so I'm not going to dog on him too much, but he was unplayable tonight.

God no! If Illinois doesn't land ELITE shooters, next year will suck.
What about our two freshmen coming in? Keaton was Kansas gatorade player of the year. Sounds like no slouch. What about the Lee kid? I know we have to get old quickly, but I think we got two good recruits. Will DGL and Booth be gone. I wonder if Jake will stay.
He would be an amazing addition. Senior guard, great shooter, and fletch will get him a little bit stronger. His defense isn't that bad, was dragged down by guys who couldn't guard a shadow.
Maybe Brad should bring in some mid-major recruits who have shown they can play. Sort of like Kentucky did this year with Brea from Dayton & Williams from Drexel. What did Booth show at ND?
Ya Dix would be a great addition. His stats are impressive. Consistent every year. Him, Conwell, Big Z and Sarr would be nice.
I am hoping we recruit some athletes that can defend as well as score. Some of these less athletic prospects are a concern in this regard.

I don’t really understand how we can add Big Z and that not create problems with Morez. What does that rotation look like? Morez has shown he probably deserves more minutes next year, and it seems like if we add Big Z it will only reduce them?
I'll at least give you that he's better at defense than Loyer (can't stand him). I appreciate that he can fill it up in bunches- but I want dogs- tough as nails-physical-athletic. To hell with more finesse dudes that aren't dogs..
Aren't both of the incoming freshman ranked in the mid-100s (I khnow, rankings are not the best)? Maybe I got that wrong. If I am not wrong, I think the two freshman are not going to contribute in games at all, next year. Their sophomore year could be quite different.
Big Z can come off the bench for either Morez or Tomi
I'd very much like to see Morez taught to use jump hooks in the paint, right-handed and left-handed. And an (infrequently-used) elbow jumper.
If anyone can play an undersized 2 it would be Boswell. If you want to call 6'2 undersized. He's showed he plays a lot bigger than that.
Might be a silly question but are we assuming in these equations Ty is gone? I assume so. Sure could have used his toughness at times.
We still need a third big for our rotation. There gonna get fouls and need some breaks to be playing their best.
You need 3 bigs. I could see playing 2 bigs and rotating one in. The Zs stretch the floor. It could keep the bigs fresh.

Because we hope to have Rez and Tomi back and need a quality backup.
Also shot about 37-38% from three the last two years. Averaged a couple blocks a game last year too.
Big Z would be the 3rd big for when there is foul trouble or someone needs a breather. It would allow playing Morez and Tomi more together. Finding a better big man to come in and play behind Tomi and Morez will be hard. Find one better than Tomi or Morez and you likely lose one of Tomi and Morez.
Big Z gets time with Fletch and his brother. He also can get a real degree.
