Until somebody in the know proves me wrong players leaving is not about money. If you can prove me wrong, prove me wrong, but until somebody makes me believe that they’re just chasing the dollar I will keep saying there is major internal issues.

If that’s the case, why didn’t they pony up more to keep Johnson?
He said it wasn't about money. Others didn't.

Listen, our offense was all about not taking a lot if mid range 2s. Especailly low percentage ones and bottom line Rez likely didn't show it in practice and its selfish to want to take them if he didn't. Other guys like White and Will git those shows likely because they did it at a higher clip.

If this stuff on Humrichous is true I’d love to know what Brad and/or Tyler earnestly *believe* they’re seeing that everyone else watching every game in which he plays is missing.

It just doesn’t jive with the alleged narratives that Morez and others have offered on their way out the door “I was asked to do _____ because it leads to winning but it hinders personal growth.”

What is Humrichous being asked to do, that he’s also successfully executing consistently, that led to a bunch of wins this year? What are those things that we all evidently missed?

1. Boswell
2. Conwell
3. Dix
4. Sarr
5. Tomi

6. Ty
7. Humer
8. Jake Davis

This fits what Underwood / Tyler want and believe from an offensive perspective. It makes sense with shooting and positional size. Which Underwood constantly says. I don’t hate it at all. Defense is a worry but we will see.

How come illini0440 is saying we are going to have the donors pony up for Tomi if we want to keep him (acting like we don’t have a TON of money to spend freely) and you are saying we got 2mil for Dix. I get different opinions but that is just so different I can’t see how that is possible.

Tre wanted to stay … Tre would’ve stayed if certain things were done (NOT $$$ related) …

Brad unwilling to make changes … Here we are …

In terms of the ridiculous comment … I agree … See my note below …

Ok this is becoming a joke. How long until college basketball becomes the NBA, and people stop watching? The NBA became a snoozefest, and we sadly aren't far behind. No one is acting quickly enough to establish some rules, parameters, contracts, etc. to stop this nonsense. If i was age 18-23, I would take the money also if someone threw a 7 figure amount at me. Anyone in their right mind would. The NCAA is and always has been a disgrace, and it continues to show. The leadership punts on hard issues, and looks the other way.
Let's remove the 3pt line, it was a silly mistake too add one, no shame in removing it!

I find it challenging to hear at one time, Morez was offered a lot of money, we're in a bidding war for Sarr, but then also we've got tons of money, we can definitely throw $2 million at a specialist.
Maybe Morez and his camp were more of a PITA than we the fans are aware of and Illinois just decided that an undersized center that cant do much else but rebound and dunk (and he does both very well to be sure) and fouls a lot (which he also does very well) were not worth doubling their investment and that money could be used on a player that fits what they want to do better.

Oh, are you speaking of the AC that happens to be the coaches son? The one that intentionally had Tre benched? It's no wonder he gtfo of this situation. 0440 doesn't have to go, just needs to be downgraded on his position. If Hamer is still here next season, I'm going to seriously consider rooting for another team (MSU).

Could be wrong but seems like a “no one will tell me how to run my program” attitude even if it is pissing in the wind
