First? I know that a hook shot is worth the same 2 points as a dunk but I’d love to see a high flying, super athletic wing type player who consistently throws it down. We get a taste of that with morez but someone like Carr in MSU.

I actually just posted in the sweet 16 thread that we need more athleticism on our roster. We had talent size and skill, but Kentucky could pressure us 1 on 1 and we couldn’t contain their speed.

I know Brad puts emphasis on positional size and shooting, which is great, but we need some athletes when we see those SEC/Big 12 type teams

Out of the box thinking.

We have a phenomenal School of Engineering. I've had U of I Engineer friends who have worked over in Saudi Arabia, UAE, etc.
Is there any chance we have connections through that or elsewhere in which we could court some Saudi Prince Oil Money into an influx of NIL? The money we are seeing for LIV Golf etc is crazy.
I'm just spitballing here..

I like the guard names coming up. A junior/senior proven against top competition with good shooting is exactly what we need.

I saw him play v. Virginia Tech in February from the sixth row, center court. He was a beast from three, even with VT double-teaming him most of the afternoon. And he took very good care of the ball. UVa won by three solely because of his performance. Reminded me a bit of Sean Pedulla, who played for VT the preceding three seasons before heading to Ole Miss, but with a purer shot. A couple of the treys he sunk were sick, with a VT guy draped over him.

Question for insiders. If Will doesn't get the draft feedback that he wants and elects to come back to school.. Would there be a chance at him portalling? Or is it essentially NBA vs ILL?

McKneely would be our Plummer, and man how we could have used a Plummer this season. Having a true, consistent, ace shooter was probably the biggest thing we were missing all season (and I know Ben was supposed to be that guy, but sadly he just did not have the "consistent" part down).
