His hold up was waiting for Riley to enter the draft... maybe WR is being told 2nd round and considering a return?
Hmm I doubt it, will has skill set and size that nba teams covet, and they way he played down the stretch solidified himself as a first rounder imo. And he’s only going to improve his stock when he gets in workouts, dude just oozes potential and he’s very young, which isn’t a really isn’t a deterrent when evaluating hoopers.

Agree on Sarr. I think we need to have a Morez like role for him next year. That is, very limited and focused only on what he does well. For Morez that was rebound, protect the rim, guard like crazy. For Sarr that’s probably guard your tail off, get out in transition, and maybe have some Tre White like cuts to the basket. Keep it super simple and I think it increases the odds of him excelling.

you're selling Sarr short

Our offensive scheme ? High pick and roll with 4 guys standing. That’s why we shot 35 3’s a game. Morez if here will start for us.
over the last 6 games Morez played in he shot 17-23 from the line, 74%.
That shows me growth with practice experience, work ethic and game experience. I expect he will work as hard if not harder than anyone on the team. and although he will continue to work on rebounding, we all know he is one of the best in the country. I foresee the development of a consistent 10 to 15 foot jumper in his future.

Is it just me or is Tre White not as impactful as this board is stating. I don't think he's a starter on a big ten winning team. Inconsistent, can get tunnel vision with the ball and take bad shots, and shoots an average % from deep.
He's a good player, I hope he comes back like he says he wants to.
OTOH I hope Brad recruits over him.
Maybe Tre will work extra hard and beat everyone out for the starting position.

I can't wait until next April when Sarr is a lottery pick and we are all talking about how this guy from Spain should stay in central Illinois to play basketball for less money and to "tighten up his game" or something.

These high-potential foreign players aren't here to go to some university they don't have any affiliation with. They want to play on a bigger stage, in front of more scouts, and increase their stock.

Is KJ loose with his handle? Is he weak at times driving to the basket? Does he have prodigious skills at the PnR and understanding of space on the basketball court? All these are an empathic yes. The NBA thinks they can fix the first two. He has several things to work on, but he's got the thing that's much harder to teach already figured out.

I also feel like our offensive schemes didn't put him into the best position to succeed when they started pressuring high on the screen actions.

If you're a guaranteed lottery pick there's zero reason you should stay in school. It's a huge risk.

Shhhh! You aren't allowed to say that out loud. Party line: Our offense is a work of true genius, based on the latest NBA tends and analytics, featuring all sort of subtle advanced techniques. If don't see that you aren't qualified to post and certainly aren't a member of Brad's family.\s

If he's offered first round money, he'd be an idiot to return to college. You can always come back to finish a degree. You can't always rely on your body to produce professional athlete performance.

I was under the impression that once you get into the mid to late first round, NIL can start to become competitive with NBA money.

For one year maybe. Last pick of first round gets like 2.5 mil a year but gets that for 4 years. So it would be a gamble to come back for one year of NIL even if those 1 year dollar amounts were comparable.

I noticed 69% (haha) of the starters are from power conferences. And many of the mid-major guys were superstars at their level.

I get a little uneasy when I see all these mid-major guys thrown out as potential transfers. Most guys don't just step up in level and not miss a beat. I'd typically prefer another high major transfer.
Dr. P.J. Bowman (centennial high school) came from Parkland college and was a nice bump off the bench. 3 point guy, he would come off the bench during a scoring lull, knock down a 3 or two and go back to the bench. You never know when or where you will find the perfect guy to plug a hole.

Correct. The argument used to be go back to school unless you get a first round guaranty (bc guaranteed money is gone in 2nd rd). With NIL the argument can be made that you are better off going back to school unless you're a lottery pick.

Completely disagree, we played our best ball vs Arkansas, Oregon, Indiana, Michigan, Xavier. Those games Morez was a change of pace back up big or didn’t even play. Our offense is 5 out. Obviously Morez is great in the dunkers spot but our ceiling is capped with Morez on the floor compared to Coleman type at the 4. Obviously Morez is extremely valuable and you have to keep him at all costs but him starting contradicts our offensive scheme a little

Loved CoHawk and his outside shot was a threat but seeing him get manhandled on D in the paint by a big big was hard. Morez does give you that boost. She maybe really depends who the other 4 are on the floor.
