While I agree that Morez > BH I don’t understand what the negative impact was to Morez this season as it played out.
He played major minutes and was a net positive for the team, showed what he could do and was in line for a big jump in role and $$ next year.
That’s great he was committed for two years before arriving but that obviously doesn’t mean anything anymore. Seems to be about how much $$ you can make and I’m sure there’s more to it but whatever

Nah, it wouldn't. There isn't really a magical individual contract-by-contract legal workaround here. You can't contract to say "you aren't allowed to leave and sign a contract with anyone else", and if you just say "you don't get paid anything unless you're still here in a year", players will obviously just go to where they can get paid now.
What you need is a collective bargaining agreement with some unit of schools, which bypasses antitrust law and allows the conference/federation/whatever to say (as all the pro sports do), you may not sign a player who is under contract with another team.

Just insane man. I try to blindly support Brad and it just gets harder and harder. Program is so close to greatness and he just can’t make the right decisions to get over the mountain
