I guess he didn’t want his jersey hung in the rafters?
Get real. He's supremely talented. He wants to make it to the NBA. He wants the dream all these kids have been fighting for for years. And the reality is, show it early and you're more likely to get drafted, warts and all. Look at KJ. Look at Riley. Morez may not be there yet but he has the talent and wants to be in a system that trusts him and gives him the freedom to play. I see nothing wrong with that for a player of his caliber.

Kofi had a great career here. He has his jersey in the rafters, was an All-American, and all that. But he had to come watch his jersey be raised via a flight from Japan. Morez wants to play here. Again, nothing wrong with chasing your dreams. All the wrong for this lies in the coaches' laps, and ultimately, Brad's.

I agree with this thought. Assembling a group of guys, with different strengths, is essential. Morez was one of the guys we needed. Now we're back to the drawing board. Coaching error.

I love this place lol always fun to drink a bourbon and read the craziness.

Rez thinks he can shoot 3s and wanted the green light tomi had? Get out of here, are you crazy? We don't make the tournament if that was the case. You'd rather have that next year? Worth it to keep someone that doesn't care about winning and only cares about themselves?

It's a different world and at the end of the day this staff has made 5(6) straight and won some big ten titles. Have faith they will put a good team together again and stop caring about players. That's not how it works anymore. Stop getting attached.

Tre got in the dog house because he didn't play well with Brad's little boy. Guess someone was holding a grudge. 😏

I can agree with you on one thing- drinking bourbon lol. My choice is some eagle rare tonight.

Side note: I'm ready to not just be good, we need to be great! Good isn't good enough

Grass is always greener. New coach gets to tell a player how they were used wrong. Then the new coach uses the player the same way. Player transfers again. If you have any expectation of a player staying at this point you aren’t paying attention.

Everyone is an unrestricted free agent all the time. It is what it is right now but it’s ruining college football and basketball.

Good luck to Morez. He is a good young player but for a million $ they will replace him just fine. I don’t blame anyone here. Wake me up in a few months to tell me what the new roster looks like.

Why does Illinois continue to allow Ben to play when he was targeted in every game. Need to fix defense which means bringing in defensive minded asst.

I've been twice married and swear to not make it 3. I can do this.

Yes and they caught breaks like we did last season. Not saying we didn’t have a good draw but most reasonable people saw the Kentucky game as a toss up. Purdue made the best of good fortune. Now if they beat Houston then they will have my attention.
And played for the title last year…wish we had their lucky rabbits foot.

Underwood played guys ahead of him who had no business playing ahead of him.

Another program is more able than is our vaunted one, then? We're going to win championships while coming in second on this sort of issue? Was this a smart decision, or a failing? I vote "fail."

So Morez should just of had the green light to step out and shoot 3's?... Just because he and his dad thinks he should?
