They give their guys some sort of personality test. Then they recruit kids that score high for commitment and loyalty. Something like that.
Illinois does as well and additional screenings as well. If Ilinois has the same track record under BU after 20 years in the tourney that Painter has had at Purdue you would have ran Painter out on a rail for underperforming.

A lot of people are saying to trust the staff, but isn’t this the same staff that spent a ton of money on Ben and Booth last year?

It’s becoming clear that the players, and I’m assuming the assistants who left, have little to no respect for TU and Hamer, yet BU is stubbornly sticking with them.

Now, he’s trying to re-sign Ben, and it’s almost comical at this point. It just seems like BU is stubbornly trying to prove himself right, even if it means going against the tide.
A lot of assumptions you are making here. Bad ones too

Dix here for a visit … We’re looking to close … Personally - I don’t understand this one … But that’s just me … Talk is it’ll take $2 million for him …

Sandfort in for a visit soon as well … I don’t understand this one either …

Boswell has heard from multiple teams back channeling and offering nearly 7 figures to him …

Tre White has quite a few good offers on the table …

Continue to hear Brad wants Ben back …

If Duke can’t land Nate Ament … They will be all in on Dame Sarr and we could lose him at the last second … I think we’re in a good spot but Duke is going to come after him hard …

So what would you think BU should do? Don't take that as snarky. Just seems like you know what options are legit possible

Dix for $2 mill is just unfathomable. If we end up spending that for him- I think it'll be the of Underwood's time here.

If Ben comes back, Sandfort, and Dix come- We will officially be the most unathletic and softest team in the Big Ten.

I think Tre will end up somewhere else- his value will be high and Underwood probably planted a negative seed with how he handled Tre during the season.

Wow, I'm not a fan of spending big $$ to land Dix or Sandfort. White and Sarr have to be huge priorities along with Boswell, that's where the $$ needs to be spent.

Weirdly enough I checked the 247 page before coming on here earlier. That's where I saw the Morez news.

Now Indy is telling us basically everyone is getting offers.

Hints of player unhappiness, are other programs smelling blood in the water?

It’s been proven here that we spent a ridiculous amount on both Ben and Booth. Everything about TU and Hamer has already been aired out. Bu has already said he's looking into bringing Ben back.

So, please enlighten me, what exactly do you think is the ‘bad assumption’ here?

But Duke is the leader for Nate Ament (as far as everything that's out there).

Kofi is playing in korea and didn’t play one day in the NBA. Morez saw the same staff and said “I don’t want that to happen to me.” That’s not disrespectful. That’s smart. The Illini staff disrespected Morez.

We need to lock up Sarr. Our fan base can’t handle another one of these.

For me as a fan, I've never liked the pro game.

Like this one even less.

Guess I'm out of here. It's no longer a game, strictly money.

How does one delete his account?

Kelvin Sampson and Matt Painter are phenomenal coaches. Hate to say it, but they are Elite. 😆

35+ pages whining about an athletic dude that showed he hustled. He was never a dominant force on offense and got absolutely worked on defense. Did he make a few highlight plays? Sure. But we can easily get a replacement from the portal who will be a better asset on both ends of the court…

Later Rez, good luck.
A lot of our frustration has to do with the inability to retain any type of roster continuity that we saw during BU's first 5 years. Look at the teams in the Sweet 16 and you'll see a lot of teams that have been able to retain their players year after year. While you can get an E8 run from remaking your team in the portal like Kansas State did a couple years ago, it's not the recipe for long term success (as K-State has shown since then).

Did anybody see the end of the Purdue-Houston game? Hopefully the Illini coaching staff did. That was what is called an out of bounds play. I haven’t seen Illinois do that in over 8 years.

only 4 of the teams have a starting lineup with 3 or more players that originated at their school. 9 of the 16 have a starting lineup where literally every one of them started at a different school
