It's certainly always mostly about the $$$ but there are and can be ither factors at play. I didn't blame Coleman for wanting paid which he got nor do I for do I blame him for leaving to not play the 5 anymore. It seems the same type of things are going on here except Rez and his dad back out if a deal. Oh well, on to the next. There are other good or better players out there if we can get em.

I get the data. But when you know your minutes are going to be limited, and you'll get yanked at any moment, then you play differently. With a lot more reckless abandon, often trying to make the "big" play.
At the risk of being unkind…. You have to get close enough to your man to be called for a foul.

This board is moronic. What’s being thrown around is nowhere near the truth. People running with twitter rumors and making up their own to justify their feelings. It’s crazy. Morez SIGNED a new NIL deal late February. 900k….his dad continued to negotiate behind Illinois back and got “offers” in the 2 mil range for Morez. Great. Go get your 2 mil. Don’t throw coaches and former players under the bus to try and make it look like that’s why you’re leaving. Sorry they didn’t let your son shoot 3’s and run the offense through I’m like they did Tomi when that’s not his game. Kylan and Tomi have always been priority 1a and 1b this offseason. They would’ve loved to have Tre back with him being the 6th ish guy off the bench. He didn’t like that whatever it is what it is. That being said Illini0440 out. Good luck everyone. Can’t take the dumba$$ posts on here from people who have no idea what’s actually going on and need to make something up to validate their feelings towards things.

Gonna miss your knowledge and communication style. Please come back when the social media vomiting has subsided.

My only comment about current situation. I know at least 3-4 big donors that say they are done if Hamer and Tyler are not gone or have GREATLY diminished roles.

I was told some time ago that Brad was open to that happening. Now comes the crap or get off the toilet time for Brad.
Marvin knows . . . Marvin knows . . . Thanks for the info!

That's true. But if you are good at business, part of that is being relatively adept at taking calculated risks.
I guess if you are going to be paying now bigger value than current worth based on future projections, there needs to be guarantees that the person does not leave after one year. System does not operate that way, to my understanding, at least yet.

1. Boswell
2. Conwell
3. Dix
4. Sarr
5. Tomi

6. Ty
7. Humer
8. Jake Davis

This fits what Underwood / Tyler want and believe from an offensive perspective. It makes sense with shooting and positional size. Which Underwood constantly says. I don’t hate it at all. Defense is a worry but we will see.
Why does it feel like we were so close to be national title contenders to now feeling like it’s never been further away. This lineup is not coming close to contending for a national title and I’m really starting to wonder if Brad even knows how to construct as roster that does.

It has nothing to do with performance … Tyler needs to find another job or he should be fired …

And the offense wasn’t good this year … I don’t care what the analytics say …

Last year any coach could've finished with a top 5 offense with that team …

Is there anyone left now who doubts that illini0440 is Tyler Underwood?

What he said….lots of loopholes and subject to interpretation.
That's just one step out of the multiple processes that are supposed to be followed to ensure compliance with the actual rule from Article IX, Section 2 of the University statutes which is much more explicit:

"No individual shall initiate or participate in institutional decisions involving a direct benefit (initial employment, retention, promotion, salary, leave of absence, etc.) to a member of the individual’s immediate family. “Immediate family” includes an individual’s spouse, civil union partner, ancestors and descendants, all descendants of the individual’s grandparents, and the spouse or civil union partner, of any of the foregoing. Each chancellor/vice president shall develop, for the approval of the president, university procedures to insure against such conflict of interest."

You need to go outside. Good God.

I'm not making fun of either of you at all, but this right here is why message boards are undefeated.

Were all glued to where 18-22 year olds will attend college next, 108 pages in, and someone posting in this mess on a Saturday afternoon tells someone else also posting in this mess to get some fresh air.

I love it.
