A lot of people will believe the “insiders” on this board, who are proven to be wrong consistently, but accuse the players themselves of not telling the truth.
I... I don't have a Seinfeld gif for this.
We were a top 30 team this year and 30 points worse than the top teams. Why does it feel like we were so close to be national title contenders to now feeling like it’s never been further away. This lineup is not coming close to contending for a national title and I’m really starting to wonder if Brad even knows how to construct as roster that does.
I can assure you Ben playing over Morez played a significant role in all this. Finally an insider with actual ball knowledge. The idea that Morez was leaving because Humrichhous played over him was the biggest load of bs I’ve ever heard. Morez could be a fine player but he wasn’t ready for a huge role as a freshman. Just because he listened to former players who are salty they were bad and had limited roles doesn’t mean anything about the state of the program
Actually, it was the money man, J Bruce Ismay, who ordered the captain to go at break neck speed. The Titanic sank because of the Captain, not the guy steering the ship.
Sums up my feeling very well. The discourse on this board right now is bafflingThis board is moronic. What’s being thrown around is nowhere near the truth. People running with twitter rumors and making up their own to justify their feelings. It’s crazy. Morez SIGNED a new NIL deal late February. 900k….his dad continued to negotiate behind Illinois back and got “offers” in the 2 mil range for Morez. Great. Go get your 2 mil. Don’t throw coaches and former players under the bus to try and make it look like that’s why you’re leaving. Sorry they didn’t let your son shoot 3’s and run the offense through I’m like they did Tomi when that’s not his game. Kylan and Tomi have always been priority 1a and 1b this offseason. They would’ve loved to have Tre back with him being the 6th ish guy off the bench. He didn’t like that whatever it is what it is. That being said Illini0440 out. Good luck everyone. Can’t take the dumba$$ posts on here from people who have no idea what’s actually going on and need to make something up to validate their feelings towards things.

Hope our AD has been exit interviews and is fully plugged into the process. If most of this is true, it is impossible to be successful.I’m telling you what I’ve been told by former and current players and coaches … Tyler running the show is causing problems/has caused problems … Hamer running the show is causing problems/has caused problems …
It’s the Brad/Tyler/Hamer show … Many players are over it … SOME donors are over all of it including Brad and some are willing to let Brad change course and bring in new coaches … Two of our previous assistants said to heck with it …
It’s a problem … Brad can either fix it or he can roll with it but if he rolls with it and doesn’t have success in March next year … He should be prepared to be fired come season end and he can take his boy and leggings boy with him …
Just direct bookmark all the insiders profile/post history pages and you never have to check a thread againMe scrolling through 109 pages ofto find posts by our insiders on what is really happening . . . .

That’s kind of a huge aside, though. He just couldn’t stay on the court for any meaningful stretch of time.I can assure you Ben playing over Morez played a significant role in all this.
Wasn’t ready for a huge role his Freshman year…ayfkm? Did you see his per 40 #s? Every time out there, foul trouble aside, he was one of the most impactful players on the court. Anyone who suggests otherwise is lacking “ball knowledge”.
His per 40 was great yes, the problem is he couldn’t play 40 without fouling outI can assure you Ben playing over Morez played a significant role in all this.

At least I went to the driving range with my son and 3 grandsons! I did peek though. LolI'm not making fun of either of you at all, but this right here is why message boards are undefeated.
Were all glued to where 18-22 year olds will attend college next, 108 pages in, and someone posting in this mess on a Saturday afternoon tells someone else also posting in this mess to get some fresh air.
I love it.
FairOnly right now?
Feel like the play where he broke his wrist was the exact type of reckless abandon play you mentionI get the data. But when you know your minutes are going to be limited, and you'll get yanked at any moment, then you play differently. With a lot more reckless abandon, often trying to make the "big" play.
