FactsHere’s what I’ll say … You don’t have to agree with my posts … You don’t have to like my posts … But I post the raw, unfiltered truth from multiple angles (donors, current players, former players, coaches, other coaches, agents, etc.) … Not through orange and blue glasses …

It may not always be the popular take or make people happy but it’s the truth in many cases or how I see it in others … And if that gets people fired up then so be it … 🤷🏻‍♂️

Personally - I think I give credit where it’s due and criticism where it’s fair … I support our programs and coaches until I am unable to stand behind them anymore and see changes that need to be made and I voice my opinion based around the facts I know and the information I’ve received …

As others have mentioned … The DMs not only this week but this past year for myself have been absolutely ridiculous and I can understand why many on here may decide to be done and take a break …

Lol that's not even true. They hit number 1 after the Iowa State game and finished at 3.
False. Here’s T-Rank offensive efficiency metrics by date.

T-Rank had us at #33 in offensive efficiency from our first game until the day TJ got suspended.

Then #3 in offensive efficiency by the time he got back.

So our offensive *improved* without TJ.

I am not laughing at our culture. I am unhappy about the level that it has sunk to this year, however. "Every day guys" has left the building, and an APB on it should be put out.

Texas Tech Coach is Elite. Good Lord man has coached. They got robbed, Florida. Wtf 20 more free throws. I guess we gambling fools want Duke v. FLORIDA. Serious MONEY!

Indy, I know I speak for most people on here when I say how much I appreciate your insights, opinions, and posts. I may not always agree with your opinions but I respect and appreciate the time you take to post them.

With regard to the DMs you and others have gotten - absolutely unacceptable. @Dan - do you have a line of sight into DMs? Filters or flags for inappropriate comments? If so, please ban these imbeciles. If not, Indy- please let Dan know so he can take out the garbage.

I will reiterate: a big thank you for giving us the time of day. This message board ain't happening without the likes of you, and all the other insiders, imo.

I hope Lville and I0440 come back. In the end, when it's all said and done, will things work out here at least for next year?

There's KB and Tomas--that's an impressive start. I think B. Lee will surprise some people.

One thing that is certain--three months from now some on this board will be proclaiming that we have so much depth that our second five will be able to compete with many teams and that we have a shot at a final-four season. Happens every preseason.
This season it was, of course: This is the most talented roster Brad’s ever had.” or “This might be the most talented Illini team ever.”

(I suppose you could point fingers at our media for the first one also.)

A whole lot of faith is being placed on stats alone, here. The N is rarely large enough to make these sorts of comparions in a black-and-white, meaningful way. The missing variance component and lack of controls are part of the problem as well. So stats like these should more reasonably be treated as grist for generating working hypotheses, not for making final conclusions.

Which means, unfortunately, that judgements will be made, shades of gray will matter, and arguments arise.

He shouldn't have been allowed for his dad in any role. Nip the potential for issues in the bud. As Barney Fife said "Nip It in the Bud!"
That didnt happen and it grew whether its justified or not. Dad can help find him a basketball job elsewhere. If Tyler wants to find a job at U of I where he doesn't work for his dad ok. The reason for the policy to start with is to prevent drama and other issues.

How much does a good player make in college. I have heard 4+ mil - 2 mil.

Anyone have any idea what Duke paid for their team this year compared to Illinois?

We love you Indy Illini Fan. You tell the truth . I agree with everything you have said. It’s a certain segment of the Illinois fan base that is Brad Underwood and his coaching staff can do no wrong. With the Brad delusional fanboys it’s like Who do you believe me or your lying eyes 👀

I stand corrected. Not sure about his lower body strength. So then it begs the questions why he was abused so much on D and blown by? Just not a good enough athlete for D1 level?
He wasn't bad, not great, but not bad defensing other bigs, but often a guard would lose his man and Hummer would try to cut him off at the basket, fail miserably, and it looked to many that he was playing bad D - and not the guy who was supposed to stop the guard in the first place.

I'd be plenty OK with Hummer being the 7 or 8th option off the bench next year.
