Did I read this correctly? From what I’ve heard … Both are likely to enter the draft to get feedback … Both are likely to enter the portal …
Again that’s subject to change but that’s based off what I’ve been told as of today …

Very likely Tomi is back at Illinois next season, goodbye again.
Yes, I completely understand from a business side. It just gave me the twitchesI didn’t say he was gone … But I’ve talked to someone close to the brothers …
It benefits them to enter the portal … See what else is out there … Even if it’s nothing but a leverage play to get Illinois to cough up more $$$ …
It’s smart business …
Many will remember Kofi did the exact same thing …
Do you believe they'll both end up in the same place at the end of the day?I didn’t say he was gone … But I’ve talked to someone close to the brothers …

The guy was literally ranked #1 in the nation, reclassed, and had the biggest reclass-falloff I've quite possibly ever seen.![]()

It’s a decent “spend and get the best roster you can” type of program. But “healthy” no. I think Purdue is a “healthy” program. I consider this nothing close to that.So you are saying this isn't a "healthy" program? What do you consider "healthy" in this NCAA climate of constant turn over? Generalizing a bit maybe?
Great to see your post, they are like gold nuggets to us faithful.Very likely Tomi is back at Illinois next season, goodbye again.
Him, Dix, Sarr, Ivisic, Kylan, return/add a few more bench guys and be done with it.Been waiting for this one …

As of last night, both Tomi and Kylan talked with the staff and told them they are coming back. Tomi's deal is pretty much done, just working on some small details. Both are locked in barring something crazy changing. The staff is working their assess off in the portal right now. OA is getting close with a couple of bigs, they have a wing targets in mind along with Dix (decision expected later this week), and things with Sarr are still looking very positive. DGL should be entering soon, Ty still up in the air. Will see on Jake/Ben. Should start to get commitments soon.
I wouldn't be shocked to see Tomi declare just to get feedback, but highly likely he's back.

Look no further than Morez signing his for next year and then out of nowhere (/s) deciding his midrange game needed improving in game time. The thing to remember is, since there can’t actually be any “pay for play” deals, there’s no way to lock anyone in and keeping them out of the portal. Indy or the others might be able to clarify this more, but it’s my understanding that NIL deals are essentially “good faith, trust me” agreements.
Any fewer than 2 (Kwa and Hamer) is a disappointment. I'm willing to give Tyler a chance despite my nepotism concerns. As far as the coaches go, been very quiet on that front. They need multiple assistants in imo.
Many of us are over this cycle of “recruit the portal hard, rinse and repeat with a new team ever year” cycle that’s produced one appearance into and beyond a sweet sixteen. This was supposed to be year 1 of a two year cycle. It didn’t happen. Hard to get too excited about whatever new bag chasers might be on the way to maybe be good next year at the moment. Why is everyone so quick to give up and claim the program has no upward momentum..the portal has opened and last year our two best gets were in May and June. So there’s literally no rush they’ll get the guys. Tomi should go to the draft for feedback so if he does declare it’s a good thing. It’s not bad…
Not directed specifically at you, but I wonder how much the College Basketball Crown Tournament is delaying portal-related activities from teams. 16 fairly mediocre teams still playing in an individual tourney, where otherwise, in traditional years there are only about 6-10 teams still playing total. As of last night, both Tomi and Kylan talked with the staff and told them they are coming back. Tomi is 21. What are the odds he's gone even if he's a 2nd round pick?As of last night, both Tomi and Kylan talked with the staff and told them they are coming back. Wait this was honestly one of the names I had on my mind as this portal started. Very, very impressive player. Hope this is legit and "UAB" doesn't immediately mean Alabama/Auburn.Been waiting for this one …
